Poor wifi. No air con

The location and atmosphere of the hotel.

The room we had was on the main level and was quite noisy. Our window which was opened because it was hot faced the courtyard which I thought was nice at first but I didn’t realize it was the smoking area. Someone decided to smoke and play video right outside our room. It was a bit annoying. Also the bathroom layout was such the toilet paper holder was right where you sat down. A larger person would have the TP holder right next to their leg. It was odd. Otherwise the facility is very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t get a ground floor room again.

Nice big room. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel staff were brilliant. The hotel location was just right. We were able to walk into Oxford within about 10 to 15 minutes.

To be honest. There was not much to complain about. There was the occasional scratched bit of paint here and there, but it's an old building and to us it added to the character of the hotel!

Good location for a 20 minute walk into town

Hotel is very dated and in need of modernisation. Room was quite small for the price I paid. It was extremely hot to sleep in. Also, some very ‘exotic’ plumbing to the radiators! (Doesn’t give you much confidence in the quality of the upkeep) Breakfast was ok, but staff were not very attentive.
