Lovely old hotel right by the university parks with surprisingly large rooms and lots of cool nooks and crannies.

Because it is such an old building no air con (just a fan) which when it was 30 degrees plus just moved the hot air around.) Also no fridge so just warm water.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, wenn man Oxford fußläufig erkunden möchte. Wir hatten Zimmer im Innenhof, wo man noch Tische und Stühle zur Nutzung zur Verfügung hatte. Trotz anliegender Hauptstraße war dort ganz still und man konnte gut schlafen. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr gut und wurden flott serviert. Da wir vor der Frühstückszeit zum Flieger mussten, hat man uns ein Continental Frühstück zur Verfügung gestellt, das war sehr nett.

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers und des Bades waren zweckmäßig,aber okay. Das Zimmer wirkte etwas dunkel. Wenn man einen Cappuccino statt eines Americanos oder Tee zum Frühstück wollte, musste man zuzahlen. Das war auf unserer Rundreise das erste Mal.

Lovely old Victorian mansion converted to hotel….beautiful woodwork and antique furniture. Very comfortable, super comfy bed, excellent breakfast options in lovely old dining room. If you appreciate the best of old and new combined, this is it!
