Liked the biscuits and gravy.

Someine spilled sticky juice on the floor and didn't get cleaned up. Both juices offered didn't have ice in the center ice container so they were warm.

We didnt get to check in until late at night- the front desk person was super sweet! I didnt get her name but she definitely started our stay off on the right foot. Thank you!

The water available at breakfast was the water that was served in the lobby all day and was almost empty. There were a lot of lemons in the water so it tasted like lemonade.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Cancelled my reservation and they still charged me for two nights. No one from the hotel would return calls. In fact, no one ever answered the phone. Really poor customer service. Really really poor.

I stay here 3-4 nights a week for construction. Amazing staff! Treat you like family! Pool n hot tub are awesome! They cook their guests a home cooked supper twice a week. the only place I’ll stay near Iowa city!!!

My family traveled to Coralville from out of town to see family for Christmas. I grew up in Iowa City and worked next door to this hotel for 10 years. I remembered it being very family friendly and had many birthday parties there. We are a family of six with 2 adults and 4 children. When we made the reservation, we booked the room with 2 queen beds and the pull-out sofa. Our two older kids were unsure if they would stay at the hotel or stay with family, so the reservation stated 2 adults and 2 kids. We also invited family to come visit and swim with our children while we were in town. Upon check-in, there was a white board that stated no one could be in the pool without a wristband. I questioned the lady (Tandra) working behind the desk in regard to the policy. She very rudely stated that it was noted in the policies on the website, and I have yet to discover where that is listed by the way. She then went on to say that only 5 wristbands came with our room. I questioned this due to being a family of 6 and asked if I could purchase additional wristbands. She stated that was not allowed. I again advised that we are a family of 6 to which she replied that our reservation only stated 4 guests. I asked if we could upgrade to a bigger room to solve this wristband issue so that we could all enjoy the pool together. She stated we had already reserved the room with the most wristbands (5) so if family or friends came to visit and wanted to swim, they would need to reserve a room. She very rudely and reluctantly gave us the 6 wristbands to accommodate our family. Not knowing about this "pool policy" prior our family members arrived at the hotel so spend time shortly after check in. So that all of the kids could swim, the adults opted to sit by the pool in chairs so the kids could have the wristbands. One of my nieces has autism and sensory issues so did not have the wristband on, but it was on the table accessible. A short while after being in the pool area, Tandra entered the pool area storming over to the tables and questioning where everyone's wristbands were (we had 4 adults sitting at the tables and 5 kids in the water). She was advised that the kids had their wristbands on, aside from one and that her wristband was on the table. She very rudely and unprofessionally, while raising her voice, stated that she clearly told us during check in that unregistered guests could not be in the pool area. I advised her that the white board stated wristbands were required in the pool not the pool area so we attempted to adhere to the rules. She was super condescending and rude the entire time and stated that wristbands were also required to be in the pool area and kept saying it was clearly listed in the policy, again I have yet to find this information even after searching many websites. I asked her if she was the manager and she stated she was and that there was not a manager above her. We then gathered our family and left the pool area due to this confrontation. On the way to the room we noticed she had written the word "area" in small letters under where it said pool in a completely different colored dry erase marker, which I recorded a video of. After eating breakfast the next morning we needed to hurry to get our things cleaned up so we could check out by 11 and when we got all the way back to our room, the key cards would not work. When I went to the desk to get them re-activated, there was a different lady working and I asked if Tandra was the manager or if there was someone above her I could speak with. She stated that Tandra was an assistant and that there was a General Manger named Misty I could talk to M-F (the lady in the morning was pleasant and understanding). We can be understanding that wristbands would be required to swim, but the attitude from the Tandra was completely uncalled for. Once a complaint was made with the General Manager, she ignored the issue at hand and compared having to have a wristband to not being able to enter a waterpark without paying full price. There are MANY pools at hotels, fitness centers, etc. that you can pay to be a "non-swimmer" or at least purchase another wristband. If you have a family bigger than 5, I would avoid this hotel at all costs. Also, don't even think about spending time with family there. Tandra and this alleged pool policy made our Christmas stay horrible.
