Simpson Bay Resort Marina & Spa

Always great to visit Simpson Bay Resort, formerly the Pelican Resort. The boat trips are a must on the Tango, Santino and Lambada. People, crew and employees are always friendly and kind. Prices have increased at restaurants and especially shocking at La Patrona, yet foods great and $$$ likely a sign of the times!

Our first trip and we will be back. We stayed at the Marina building. We were on the third floor. Great views of the boats . We enjoyed the enclosed balcony/sun porch area. Room was spacious and clean. Very quiet. The second bathroom was a plus! Pleasantly surprised with the food options. Enjoyed La Patrona the most. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Miss Anita (dinner) and Miss Kayla (breakfast) were excellent. The beach was gorgeous and clean. Never fought for a ‘spot’. It was not busy at the resort at all. Older crowd but family friendly. We did not want to be surrounded by kids and loud families and we were not :) We ventured out to eat and explore and felt very safe! Do the Aqua Mania Adventure Santino tour!

Very disappointing stay for four days at the Simpson Bay in an ocean front one bedroom suite. The room was very dated and had broken tiles on the floor and in the shower. Furniture was very worn both inside and on the patio. There is an extra charge for use of the gym and yoga classes. Also, coffee is not provided complementary in your room…our room was not ready at 4 PM check in time and no welcome drink or gift was ever provided as advertised. We will not be returning or recommend this resort to any of our family or friends. We highly recommend the Morgan resort as our staythere for three nights was absolutely wonderful.

My husband and I have been coming to Simpson Bay for over 3 decades. We have always enjoyed our time here and when we both retired 7 years ago we extended our 1 week vacation to a month. There are many reasons we have made this our winter getaway, the weather, the resort and the wonderful staff. We enjoy spending our days on the beach and have always been well taken care of by the beach staff. One of the staff who really stands out is Maylin at the Beach Bar. She cannot do enough to make sure the guests are well taken care of. She is attentive to our needs and goes out of her way to make our time fun and enjoyable. She is a real treasure and we have enjoyed our time with her. You are fortunate to have a dedicated professional like her and it is people like her that keeps us coming back every year. Stayed for a week and would definitely recommend! Great location for getting around to the different parts of the island - either by rental car or taxi. Wonderful pools, nice beach, and wonderful staff. Lots of dining options on site if you don’t want to book while on vacation. Also lots of nearby options off-site that are an easy walk. Safe and secure, with great on-site parking and a small grocery store on the property, with two other, bigger grocery stores an easy walk from the resort. Gorgeous sunset views and lots of sun and shade - whatever your preference!

The mattress was comfortable. Loved the patio. Great location.

The air-conditioning was hard to control. The made us change rooms the last day, which was a pain in the butt. And the toilet didn't flush in the second room.

We stayed in the older hotel part of the resort for 1 night before leaving the island. It was a DIVE and I wouldn't recommend. Stay another place. It was very loud and the room was very dumpy and outdated!
