Simpson Bay Resort Marina & Spa

From start to finish this was a wonderful experience: From the registration desk employees, to the lobby manager Fernando, and the concierge ladies; check in was great. Happy people focused on making the check in process quick and easy. Then the Shuttle drivers: Antoine, Sam, Eddie, Max and the youngest and even the newest employee... all drivers went out of their way to drive us around the property whenever we needed in a safe and pleasant manner. The property is meticulously maintained by a well seasoned landscape team, and they are quiet when doing their work......almost dont hear them at all. Very good restaurants on property so you never need to travel to far to eat well. Special mention: Beach and Pool Bar Staff......Ziggy,(who is ALWAYS FANTASTIC) Ramon, Laurel, Sophie, and Extra Special Mention to Mayelin (May); one of the hardest working, friendliest, beach walking servers, on the entire property! May was AMAZING; always checking in with us under our Palapa, delivering our food and drink orders ALWAYS WITH A SMILE AND THAT WARM SXM ISLAND CHARM we all love so much! Yvonne and Charlene in the Beach Towel Shack, were both so friendly and accommodating. Very Big Thanks to: Mr. Elvis, the "Beach Operations Manager" who got our beach chairs every morning with his GIGANTIC SMILE and very pleasant personality. Elvis always set the tone of the day by always being friendly and always saying "Good Morning". Last but not least the on site management team: Assistant General Manager Francisco Gomez and the General Manager Marcel Jovois. These two gentleman are hands on people walking the entire property, interacting with guests and employees and have personalities everyone should aspire to have as well. So helpful, so accommodating, that the parent company Royal Resorts should be proud to have them in their positions at SBRM! Start to finish, this three week vacation was a relaxing and wonderful experience at a time share resort; second to none! Simpson Bay Resort and Marina is a family friendly and cozy location to unwind and let the surf and sun heal you from the outside, while the staff heal you from the inside!

Our family and friends stayed in the Simpson Bay Villas for 4 weeks. The rooms are well kept all water facing. I highly recommend them! We spent every day on the beach, a short walk from our room. The staff at the Coco Beach Bar were great! But I have to give a special shout out to Mayelin! She was friendly and attentive. One of our group fell during our second week and Mayelin went out of her way to make sure she was looked after, and even walked us up to First Aid for a bandage change and supplies to take with us! She also made sure my birthday celebration was special by bringing a piece of cake and singing Happy Birthday! What a wonderful person and employee! Sophia at the bar was also pleasant and helpful, and helped us find a licensed taxi to take 4 of us on a day trip to various beaches. Shout out to Rodney, Taxi 153! Finally, we did the Sunset Cruise out of Simpson Bay Marina on the Lambada. What a fun evening! Highly recommend!

Grootschalig complex met veel verschillende gebouwen, wij zaten relatief ver van het ontbijt en het strand.

Dark room, ground floor, no balcony, view of parking lot. Pool and beach area chairs all "reserved" with towels but no people, so nowhere to enyou the climate. Restaurants Card systems kept declining our credit card, 3 times, only in the Restaurants, we had to call every time to get hold taken off. No problems anywhere else, ie Phillipsberg, Maho, or Marigot. Definitely value for $ was poor.

We enjoyed our stay at the Simpson Bay Resort. The pools and restaurants here were nice. I was a little disappointed there was no hot tub. The other thing that bothered us were the sand flies. They left huge red spots when they bit you and were so itchy. We were bit while dining at some of the restaurants. The room was nice but it had a weird smell in the room and also the cupboards. Everything inside the cupboard smelled and we had to wash cups and plates before we used them. We were on the bottom floor so maybe other upper level rooms aren’t as bad. The people who worked here were awesome! Very friendly. Ziggy the bartender was wonderful.

Great location, fantastic atmosphere. Rooms are spacious with fully equipped kitchen. Great value too. Everyone was friendly

The Cocoa beach bar has the best food and the best waitress named Mayelin who treats everyone like family and is the best! We love her!
