Bit awkward design: two houses coupled together with an Indian restaurant in the basement

The Indian below is amazing. It is in a good location for viewing the fortress. We had a refurbished room which was good.

Some parts are still being refurbished.

Parking for guests, can walk to the lift, comfortable bed, nice view

Hall smelled like cigarette smoke, a little noisy with street traffic, and be prepared to climb steps

Bed was comfy Great Indian restaurant downstairs

No lift was on 3rd floor A bit old and tired

The location was great, the room very comfortable and clean. Right by the chairlift for the fort and bus stop to town. Buy a ten euro bus ticket for two on the bus and you both get bus rides plus a ride up to the fort and a ride down in the chairlift, as well as a little ferry ride! Both Italian and Indian restaurants are on site, although we didn't try them as we ate in town . Very helpful, obliging and knowledgeable staff.

The very nice new shower room had a mouldy shower curtain. Could smell cigarette smoke during the night. Bedside lights would be nice. Note that any thing we were critical of is easily resolved - they are things that a word with the manager would suffice.

Great view, great value, great restaurant!

Shower drain had a tad difficulty keeping up with shower so I worried about flooding the place but ultimately not a problem.
