Clean room and great beds. Staff are friendly and good choice for breakfast. Very comfortable beds, had a good sleep here. Nice big outdoor pool, has a gym and sauna and a rooftop bar as well. Location is also great to very nice restaurants and street just down the road. Good area, also not far 25mins from centre of Funchal.

Hotel itself seems a bit outdated and like its aging. Also the parking fills up quickly and although I didn't struggle to park there was risk of that if we had no left for hiking early in the morning and then came back before everyone got back.

The room was great, spacious and overall comfortable but some amenities were missing like toothbrush.

Durante o check-in fomos informados sobre todos os serviços e comodidades do hotel, bem como tudo o que este podia proporcionar aos hóspedes. No entanto, esqueceram-se de mencionar um detalhe muito importante: o hotel encontra-se em obras. As obras começavam às 7h40 da manhã e prolongavam-se até às 20h, tornando impossível ter qualquer descanso ou sossego durante a estadia. Quando apresentámos a situação à receção, fomos informados de que nada podiam fazer porque o hotel estava cheio. Além disso, disseram-nos que a informação sobre as obras estava indicada na Booking, o que não corresponde à verdade. Para piorar a experiência, no primeiro pequeno-almoço, ao pedir um café, fomos informados de que o café expresso “normal” era pago à parte, apesar de o pequeno-almoço estar incluído na estadia. Infelizmente, foi uma experiência muito dececionante e muito abaixo do esperado.

I had a big problem with no single bed in room as advertised, only a sofa bed, only fit for a child, As we were 3 elderly people, using a sofa bed was not acceptable and I injured my back using it, we did tell the staff when we arrived that we could not use it and they did try to make it comfortable with extra bedding. We booked this hotel as it stated a single bed and was adults only so did not expect a pull out bed. It was not good enough in my opinion but the staff did their best but I am still suffering from a bad back so my holliday was not worth it. We were in room 509
