It was truly elegant. Great location in Sorrento. A very quiet atmosphere. One of the best pool areas in the world. The photos online don't do it justice. The staff was amazing and friendly. Thank you!

The facilities, food, comfort, cleanliness, and especially the attention from the staff were excellent and made the stay very enjoyable.

Hotel Antiche Mura was an excellent base for exploring Sorrento. The location is difficult to fault — close enough to the centre to walk everywhere easily, while still feeling calm and comfortable. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything maintained to a high standard. The hotel offers parking, which is a major advantage in Sorrento, although drivers should be aware that the parking spaces are extremely tight — very much in keeping with driving in historic Italian towns. Service overall was very good, particularly on our first day, and the hotel clearly runs efficiently. While the experience can feel slightly more impersonal than a smaller boutique guesthouse, that is perhaps expected in a larger hotel setting. Even so, the quality of the accommodation, excellent position, and overall value for money make it easy to recommend. A very enjoyable stay and an ideal location for seeing the best of Sorrento.

While Hotel Antiche Mura has many strengths, there were a few aspects that prevented the stay from feeling truly exceptional. The biggest issue was that the experience could feel somewhat impersonal at times. Unlike smaller guesthouses or family-run accommodation, it occasionally felt more like being processed through a large hotel than being personally welcomed as a guest. Service was also inconsistent. On our first day, staff were attentive and helpful, but on the second day it became difficult to get the attention of the barman, and the reception experience felt noticeably less warm. One receptionist in particular came across as rather surly and not especially welcoming. The parking, although very useful, is exceptionally tight and may be stressful for less confident drivers. It is manageable, but definitely something guests should be prepared for before arriving. None of these issues ruined the stay, but they did take away slightly from what is otherwise a very well-located and comfortable hotel.

Good buffet breakfast that kept us going all day. Great location near the train station and walk all over town.
