Addo Park Vista

The location was outstanding, however, there was an extremely long, dusty, dirt road to get there which took about half-an-hour from the reception where we collected the keys. It would have been nice to have known this in advance. However, one can not fault the location. It was amazing - surrounded by wildlife and peace and quiet. There was a viewing platform above the house to enable one to sit and watch the birds and animals. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to enjoy the sunset.

Excellent unique location. All facilities were available.

Poor state of road leading to property. We were not informed in advance that we had to pick keys up from restaurant entailing three trips down this road.

Flew to PE and then rented a car and stayed at a pastoral, bucolic farm cottage at the Addo Park Vista on the Sundays River in Colchester. Obstructionist cows (on a sit down strike) kept me company and I thoroughly enjoyed the large walk-in shower, comfortable lodgings and the excellent connectivity in a somewhat remote setting. My dinner at the Taste of Africa restaurant with its lush, garden setting was outstanding. Much enjoyed the chicken livers peri-peri and the Greek salad. Had to take the chicken chile pasta home but enjoyed this as a picnic dish today while traversing through Addo National Park on my way to Makhanda.

The location is incredible. Just outside the South Gate of Addo Elephant National Park and from the terrace on the roof you can even see into the park. Great location, no neighbors to bother you. A lot of fencing and security around. The cottage itself has everything you need. We would definitely come again.

It is quite a bit off the beaten track but definitely worth going there. Lovely tranquil place.

Location is great. Functional unit. What you need. Close to Addo. Sat and saw game from the stoep. So quiet. Loved it.

Needs minor maintenance, but not that it would affect your stay.

Short distance to Addo South Entrance. Nice house and area. We could spot elephants from the property. Spectacular sunrise.

Rough road to get there, off-road car recommended.
