Hyatt Place Columbus-North

Elevator needs servicing bad, hand rails are broken, thought several times the elevator was about to fall with us in it.

The location was great, since it’s right next to the freeway. The Texas Roadhouse next door had great food and great service. There’s also an iHop across the street when the hotel breakfast fails you.

We couldn’t get the room we booked months in advance, even though we checked in right at check-in time. The said all the double queens with sofa bed were taken. We knew other families who had also booked the same type of room, and were told the same. They did not offer us the difference for getting a King room instead of a double Queen. Some families had their reservation canceled without prior notice, and had to scramble to find another hotel on the day of arrival. We said we would take the king room instead of two queens, since they offered us two cots; both were broken. They managed to fix one. The mattress on the cots were badly stained and very thin, so we asked to double-up the mattresses. They said they ran out of pillows to go with the cot and sofa bed. So we had to take it off the king bed. The pull-out cot on the sofa was very squeaky and uncomfortable. The AC was very loud and leaked water. There were dead stink bugs on the floor - which we stepped on. The bathroom shower wouldn’t drain during our first shower - so we removed the drain cover and unclogged it ourselves. So much hair!!! Breakfast lacked variety and had the same food over and over again. They also ran out of coffee during breakfast, and since we couldn’t wait for fresh pots to be made, we had to get coffee elsewhere. To make matters worse, we were double-charged for the room. Once by the third party we used to book, and again by the hotel.

this was the second time in 6 months i stayed here and i will again if im in the Columbus area. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms are very big and comfortable. the breakfast is exactly what you would expect

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. There was plenty of parking and it was well lit. There were fresh bakery muffins, cookies, cheesecake, other goodies and beverages available for an additional fee on a daily basis. There was always free hot coffee available in the lobby.

The elevator was slow and made us a bit nervous. Our room looked nice and comfy and clean when we arrived. However, the bed was too soft and was sagging a bit in the center. The shower was great except for the hot water it was lacking a bit.

The property was nice and clean

breakfast was on point. and nice size room

the mattress was good , but I just prefer a more firmer one.

Clean and close to everything! The front desk staff was very nice and respectful

Front was awesome. Room needs upgrades. Could not open closet and also technology plugs were not available and none near beds.
