Graystone Lodge, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Very disappointed with the experience here. First, just know the location is on a busy street next to some strip malls. The picture makes it look like a mountain getaway with some scenery. It has none. Second, it’s built like a prison. Just a bunch of cinder blocks with a fresh coat of paint and some rock facade to make it look like a “lodge”. Honestly, it feels like a low end chain motel they bought and was given a facelift to make it look nicer. But looking a little closer reveals it’s average at best. Very sterile feel. Internet didn’t work and died multiple times while trying to stream Netflix on the hotel TV. Best part was the shower. Amazing water pressure and hot water. Front desk staff was very nice. To be fair, we haven’t had the free breakfast yet. It’s still night time. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I certainly won’t be coming back. I’d rather pay twice as much and stay at a nicer place. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. I just wish someone shared this stuff in the reviews. I’m flabbergasted this has won some trip advisor awards.

Best hotel stay we have had in a while by far. It was our anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it extra special. Was the cleanest and friendliest hotel.

There was nothing we didnt like. Everything was fabulous. Maybe the AC blowing too high??

Property was very clean, staff super friendly and breakfast was delicious. Multiple options for picky eaters and the coffee was great. Room was spacious and comfortable. Perfect location for first time visitors to the area.
