American Inn Motel

Just what I expected from a cheap place for 4 hours of sleep on the road.

There was no one at the hotel There was a note on the door stating 'Not in the office back shortly' We arrived about 700 pm waited till 830 no one arrived left a note with one of the roomers We left and got another motel Called hotels.com explained the situation Told us we would not be charged I guess we will see WE WILL NEVER BOOK AGAIN My wife has a medical problem Not appreciated

Price was right. Just changed hands, so the imennities were a little slacking.

I could not make it there so I called in to cancel my room but they would not answer. I called them like 10 times without any response.

Credit card machine was down, did not have our reservation anywhere. We were to have two queen beds and had to have a king which was crowded! Felt bad for the clerk as under new management and they leave her to deal with all the issues with no help.

Location was next to a sonic. Didn't have the room ready when we got there.

So let's put this in perspective. I was arriving late and leaving early so was looking for as inexpensive as possible. Really, my biggest issues were clean/dirty sheets. What I mean by that is the sheets appeared laundered but they had some stains in them. No, not *those* type of stains, but rather just old, hard water type stains. Additionally, the blankets on the bed were thread-bare and had holes in them. The walls also had some stains and the entire room just had a general run-down feeling to it. Again, I was looking for inexpensive so I expected this. The area itself is fine but the hotel is right next to a primary road through town and there is lots of truck traffic at night.

Wrong date reserved. I blame it either on me or Expedia.

Double charged me. Beds are small and hard.
