The Cobbles

The location was perfect for us, being near to relatives we were visiting. We liked the space in the property - plenty for the four of us. The price paid represented very good value, allowing for all the issues. We also like the colourful decor and imaginative interior design. Good, comfortable beds with nice clean linen.

No welcome pack of any kind and no user instructions! We had to take a quick trip to Aldi, just to get the basics. Lots of little niggles - too many to list but they all add up to a property that clearly isn't getting it's share of attention or regular maintenance. It is easy to imagine how good this place would have looked several years ago, when first set up for rental. Sadly, it's just suffering from lack of TLC. The bathroom door doesn't shut properly, with no lock for privacy. The WC had no light. One of the bedrooms had no door handles!! The entrance porch is riddled with woodworm and isn't really secure. The rear yard area isn't usable due to the wall being about to fall over. The scaffolding up the side of the house shows that essential external works are being carried out. Let's hope the inside gets a workover too. Overall, good value for money if you can overlook all the little problems. This place can look great if sorted out.

This place we huge and such good value. I needed to be in Colne for a wedding... a bit big for just me, but the most affordable option at the time. Would be amazing foe a family. I liked the decor and the place was super clean with lovely attention to detail.

Not much in the kitchen, but not a biggie. Make sure you take salt, pepper and all the things as the kitchen is very bare. The bed was super uncomfortable but I used an extra duvet to pad it out!

A very comfortable clean home. The owner was very helpful letting us in. It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The decor throughout was beautiful!!

Location was good. Cottage was a nice size and comfortable.

Some tlc was needed around the place for example the door handles weren't fitted properly.

Spacious. Workable kitchen. Bedrooms large and comfy. Shower and bath great.

Curtains need fixing so they are easier to open and close

The property was loverly, fantastic value for money. My only issue with it was during the first night there was a water leak in the master bedroom ceiling. I woke up my laptop and part of the bed being covered in drips of water. Luckily my laptop was fine and they came by with a roofer as soon as I let them know what had happened.
