Snow Lake Lodge

We wanted peace and quiet for our stay in Big Bear. We have been returning to this lodge as we were satisfied in the past with their customer service. I had requested the 3rd floor a month in advance but was given 1st floor. Our upstairs neighbors had kids running around all day and night. When we complained the front desk stated they can’t do anything except send a text message out. We didn’t get any rest at night or was able to sleep in due to the guests that keeps stomping the whole time we were there. Please don’t stay here if you can’t get the top floor. You hear every noise your neighbors make from toilet flushing to water running;very thin walls.

It was a very large place for the low price. The staff was very friendly.

You can hear every step the people above make, there was kids above us on our stay unfortunately so we got no sleep. The room was 80° our entire stay - very hot, stuffy, and smelly. Making the fan necessary but it only had one speed which was so fast it dried us out to the point my partner had several noise bleeds. Despite windows it is very dark and dingy. The pool is much smaller than pictured and right next to the main road and property driveway. The toaster had to be held down to work. It’s about a 20+ minute walk in either direction to anything, had to drive everywhere. The TVs are not smart TVs so no streaming, only channels. This property could be very nice in the winter if you don’t mind noise but it was not a great stay for hot summer days.

Too many stairs, just because I did two races and was sore.

We loved everything about this place. We will definitely for sure be back and stay longer.

Spacious and quiet. Enjoyed having a separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Loved the gas fireplace in the bedroom for heat. Bed was comfortable. There are restaurants a short drive away. Would stay here again.
