Not having an ocean view I was sure I’d requested it I’ve stayed before with a view It’s not the same, it was missing

I liked the chic vibe. This place feels like a resort. The paintings throughout the resort are beautiful and reflect the natural environment. The staff are top notch. Friendly and helpful.

The room was clean but not up to the standard that I am used to. It looked clean at first glance but a closer look showed that the room, especially the bathroom could have been better.

I didn't see where the breakfast was being served

the upper hallway was very hot by the elevator, perhaps a fan to circulate the foyer air would be a good idea.

Location was great. The room was clean, had an ocean view one, was great waking up to the beautiful view. Reasonably priced for the season. Staff, both front desk and house keeping was excellent, very helpful and kind. The indoor, heated swimming pool and sauna was awesome. The little welcome package for the doggos was very sweet touch.

A few things were a bit bothersome but easily fixable in my opinion. One was the ongoing renovation a whole lot of beep beep beeping starting right at nine am so no sleeping in. There was also no direct access to the beach from the hotel because of this. Obviously once the reno is completed this won't be an issue. Brandt geese season put a little damper on our most favourite activity , which is walking the beaches with our dogs, we did not know about this until we got there, now we do, and will book accordingly in the future The one thing I disliked is that we had to take our dogs across the parking lot to a grassy area for "potty time " which was fine but at night the back of the lot was poorly lit, as a result I stumbled on one of those car divider thingies, wiped out, had a spectacular faceplant and sported a shiner for a couple of weeks after. Maybe I should have taken a flashlight with me. I also didn't feel super safe in the dark alone at a strange place.

Light bulbs were burnt out in lobby. Light fixtures in lobby were dirty and dusty.

Always enjoy PARKSVILLE the views are beautiful nice hotel and lobby is very pleasing

The Pool was cold hot tub not functioning properly, was reason we stayed with the Bayside hopefully they will be fully operational asap for future guests
