The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. Food was wonderful with home or locally sourced produce for breakfast. Delicious and great for my zero carb diet. Family run efficiently and friendly.

I forgot to look for a bath when booking but very good shower. A small fridge would have been great. Family and staff helpfully recycled a frozen ice pack every breakfast for my cool bag.

The breakfast, and Ulrich who served it (his wife, the co-owner, was away over most of the weekend we visited) were both absolutely superb. The other guests were interesting and chatty, and fun. The views, including to the Highland Cattle bulls within the overall property, were splendid. The bathroom, for our room which was on the car park front side of the main house, had plenty of space for toiletries and so on. The shower was superb and easy to use. The wardrobe was just right and easy to use. The location was perfect for the family party in Killearn, 2.6 miles away, and for services there and at Balfron Station. Also for the Clachan Inn, Drymen, 4.3 miles away. This Inn is the oldest continuously-licensed pub in the country - since 1734, no less! Still serving terrific meals and drinks!! We at there twice over three days! Callander, a town where we have both been before, is a great visit about 20 miles away, even in the wet! Lots of fascinating shops and people.

It was a top-class stay. We really could not fault anything about it. Nothing more to say, really. Five stars and more! May it continue to operate like this, and we would definitely stay again.
