Super 8 by Wyndham Franklin Hwy 31

The location was Good

We booked a king room, the bedding was very thin but you get what you pay for huh!! 😉 The next morning we went down to have the Continental breakfast and was told by Management we needed to stay there and eat!!! After my husband asked him why? He stated that food was not allowed in rooms(we had a refrigerator and microwave in our room). 😂My husband started to ask more questions and the owner seemed very irritated after my husband asked, is it because we are of a different race?? He then said, that's fine you can take it with you!! To me this seemed very odd as we were the only race of our kind there. We have stayed there numerous times and have never been told this, by ANYWHERE WE STAY!! I HOPE HE GETS TO READ THIS, BECAUSE YOU VERY DISRESPECTFUL.

I went to the lobby for breakfast and made myself a waffle and aa small cup of syrup and wanted to go back to my room to eat. The front desk young male stopped me and told me I needed to eat the waffle in the lobby/breakfast area. I'm a grown women, traveling alone and I just feel safer in my room. But I sat down kinda confused on what he was telling me, but pretty much I have a microwave and mini fridge in my room but I'm not allowed to bring "the syrup" to the room bc people make messes with it. So I asked him "but I could go get food including syrup from several places around here and bring it back to my room and Noone would ever know. I can smoke and have my dog in my room, but I can't have 2 ounces of syrup" idk I said my peace and threw the rest of my food away and went to waffle house 50ft from the hotel, the next morning!

Just what I needed.

Saw a couple of gnats in the bathroom, a beetle crawling on a door frame, and a small black bug in the hem of the sheet. How many bugs is too many? “Breakfast” is all sugar. Ad photo looks like there is a warming tray for hot food-there’s not. Only sugar offered as a coffee sweetener. It’s all cereal, bagels (no cream cheese), muffin, some fruit, and waffles with syrup. Disappointing.
