Holland Inn & Suites

This is run by a very nice family. Everything is clean and recently refurbished. The exterior and interior walls are all freshly painted, crown molding was installed, and all the flooring is brand new, too. There's Dish TV and a quality wifi system. They've done a commendable job updating this old motel on a modest budget. Our two room suite was on the cozy side. Our room rate was lower than most other local alternatives, so it's an acceptable trade off. I didn't like the beds, my wife and kids said they were fine. I would suggest to the owners to add door mats; we tracked a lot of beach sand into the room. There is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The check in office has an ice machine, but there is notably no water cooler. Bottled water and sodas are available for a modest fee. Morro Bay isn't very large, so even from the edge of town, it's just 5 minutes drive to the embarcadero and even less than that to get to Morrow Strands. The former is great for walking and shopping. The latter is gorgeous and spacious. Day use parking at MS is free. There are a few nicely rated restaurants nearby. I would recommend driving to them; Main street has poor visibillity at night, lots of people driving above the speed limit, and it's hard for drivers to see pedestrians.

This was a last minute booking for a Labor Day weekend stay for my family. We had booked another hotel, but were told that the dates we selected were wrong and our room was no longer available nor did they have any vacancies. Luckily we found Holland Inn & Suites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the inn were incredible and beautiful! Our suite was remarkably clean.

The only issues I had was the light switch turning on the lights didn’t work. Tv was not showing all stations

Really large mini fridge in room which was nice for drinks & leftovers. Walking distance to Taco Temple and Spencer's Grocery market. Next to Spencer's market is a nice grassy area if you have pets who need to go potty. Only thing that wasn't great was that we had our three dogs and it cost an extra $25 per dog per night. I felt like that was a little steep seeing as how we were already paying the higher Saturday night rate. But none-the-less, dog friendly and close to the dog beach. We were able to get a couple extra pillows after asking.

Came into town late and was on a tight budget. It was very economical for the area. The service was outstanding and staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Rm 202- This is a charming ‘just across the road a bit from the sea’ place to stay. The beds were comfy-even the sofa bed (IKR!?), and they had enough plug-in fans around the place to keep the air flowing, making the humidity tolerable. There were TVs in both rooms which allowed everyone to watch what they wanted. The bathroom; however, was a bit narrow, so if you are a bit on the fluffier side (like me), you may have to shimmy past the sink to get to the loo. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Floor not mopped!!! Not clean dirty sock smelly on floor. Room stank of sewer!!

Andy the hotel owner was ver personable and provided excellent hospitality and service. Thank you Andy and I look forward to booking with Holland Inn again in the near future.

I arrived early and was able to check in right away. Very comfortable bed and close to the beach.
