The Wind Munnar

Great experience with great view from balcony. It is mountain and valley view . Hospitality is excellent. Food they serve as per order.they cook freshly . Approximately 500 mts road is narrow . All cottages are facing mountain and valley with balcony.

Our family stayed for two nights. It was our second trip and a great experience with good hospitality. This resort is located at the edge of the mountain. It has a scenic view with a great climate. Muthu and Bala murugan are doing good service. We are very happy to see them again. This time we went to kolukkamalai sunrise jeep safari. It was an excellent experience.

Our stay was a honeymoon trip. We enjoyed a lot. The view from the resort from the balcony was a treat to the eyes.The staff were friendly with great management. They arranged candle light dinner as a surprise for us.overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Very poor management. We had booked 3 nights for 3 rooms. But on second night after returning to the hotel at 11pm there was literally nobody to attend in hotel and even phones were not picked up all night. After room service that day they had kept 2 doors open which we got to find out at 11pm on returning. We are glad we did not loose baggage and passports due to that. And the third room was locked by them and there was no way the keys were working. We tried to open the door for 1 hour. Luckily we had 2 more rooms but we used only 2 rooms that night but there was no extra blanket due to which we were suffering. Imagine we paid for 3 rooms but still had to sleep in 2 rooms as they locked the rooms and management were sleeping at 11pm. Our experience is recent one during Christmas time. If possible we would give negative rating to them. Only plus point is that they have nice location.. but book only and only if you not getting any 1star hotel also... Breakfast: They gave only bread and butter for breakfast. One day Idli was there too. Their kitchen was unhygienic.

View from the resort is wonderful, rooms are decent enough. Breakfast was good other food options were limited. Our room had a balcony overlooking the dense forest. We went for a walk through the cardamom plantation near the resort.

EXTREMELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Long story short : Get a Nightmare at Munnar , book their resort! We were 6 people in number. ie 3 couples, + 1 child. Booked their rooms one week prior to visit, paid advance amount. Received confirmation from them that two rooms have been booked. We were happy that the person we talked to at the resort was good over the phone and gave us details regarding where we can visit and how we can reach there. It seems that the resort is at some remote location as he mentioned that do not depend on Google maps. Its almost 20 Kms from Munnar town.( 1 hour drive from town) We had explained him our whole plan for the day and he knew that we would be visiting Munnar and end of day we would come back to resort. It was his idea to do so. Being at Munnar ( echo point, top station, kundala dam), my phone was most of the time out of coverage area . Thanks to AIRTEL. Here comes the TWIST! We were back to munnar town to head towards the resort, I called the guy just to make sure about the route as he said not to depend on maps. HE SHOCKED ME SAYING THAT HE GAVE ONE OF OUR ROOMS TO SOME OTHER GUEST AS I WAS UNREACHABLE! 6 people and a child were left stranded by the resort guy! He suggested to stay in that available 1 room! We were here for vacation and not to be in a jail! At the peak time of Munnar , ie during the Pooja holidays where can you expect to run around munnar and get a room? His lame excuse for doing this dirty act was that I was not reachable over phone , which he knows I would not be as I was travelling around these hilly areas. Him being a local at Munnar should be aware about all these matters, regarding the phone availability. Not sure how they run a resort with such pathetic service! I'd rather spit on them than accepting his one room for 6 adults and a child! Worst Experience ever in my life!

Nothing but the best at Munnar.. This resort is situated at a beautiful location where one may feel its a hidden heaven.. Stayed for 3 days with family where kids enjoyed at the Best.. Climate was so chilled with full fog throughout the day.. Food was just another best part.. Kerala cuisines were must try items.. Really professional approach..

One of the worst resorts in munnar with a premium tagline..Dont fall on those pics from their website.Rooms are the dirty with wall full of fungus.Wifi is not available inside the rooms,The TV inside the room will not work.If u ask the reception,they will tell they are working on it..But from other reviews,I came to know that it's just the same story since so many years.. Even the swimming pool shown in their site is from a nearby resort..The way to this resort is really bad(not even shown properly in google maps).The staffs are highly unprofessional and u will feel like u have reached some tamil tea shop.

Good : Location - Food - staff We had a wonderful time at wind munnar.Key things that we liked : 1. Room and view from the room. Every room gets a valley view. 2. Food by in-house chef here is tastyy. 3. Staff. The staff here is very friendly and prompt. Enjoyed the stay 😊

Average stay. View is awesome, but everything else was just ok. The rooms are very large and each of them have balconies, the corner ones have a direct view of the valley. The rooms are clean but the bed sheets were not so tidy. The bathroom is huge but lacked any toiletries. They gave us 3 shampoo sachets (clinic plus) and a 5 rupees soap bar. so carry your own toiletries if you wish to have something better. Other than relaxing in the balcony and looking at the view, there are no activities in the hotel, there is no WIFI, but they gave us a JIO dongle to use when we asked.. it was just enough to keep touch with the outer world as the phone network is patchy. Airtel doesn't even have a network inside the rooms and in most places on the street. Had to walk up a bit to catch network. The tiny 14 inch old world TV didn't have a working cable connection. The plug points are in bad condition and it's difficult to use phone chargers in a few of them. No kettle in room to have tea with such a beautiful view. The food in the restaurant is mostly decent and we had several meals there itself. Breakfast was not buffet but several varieties were served on the table and it was wholesome and tasty with unlimited portions. We also had tea with evening snacks of pakodas and it was nice. Children may feel bored there with no activities or anything to do.
