Hilton Garden Inn Tulsa South

Hotel was very clean and bed was vey comfortable.

The property was great and nicely kept. However, there was a cockroach and a stink bug in the room upon checkin. The bathroom towel rack was also not properly fixed to the wall (it seemed like the screw anchors were not big enough for the hole that was drilled into the wall). The hotel was quiet and peaceful, the view of the pool was beautiful, and I liked the curtains and different functions for keeping the room dark while sleeping and bright while awake while still offering privacy. We didn’t take advantage of it during our stay, but they also offer free breakfast. I’m not factoring it into the review, but I don’t like that they do not actually reserve a room for you even if you have booked and paid in advance; and while we did get a room, we got the last one and the person behind us did not get a room even though he had also booked one. I know this is typical for hotels but I believe this is a terrible practice from a customer standpoint and may dissuade me from booking in the future.

Rooms updated, Quiet area, good overall cost : Overall this hotel looks like a quick update within rooms, but no details stand out. Breakfast was on paper plates, and plastic cups. Dirty silverware and one staff member for just a few travelers taking it in. Walking around the property - trash in parking lot in the afternoon and same trash there next day, on a weekday that tell me the manger and staff are not walking the property. Landscaping is a compete afterthought. Would I stay here if the rate was 150.00 zero chance. Based on quiet location and my overall needs - for less than 120 this is a good choice in Tulsa.
