Hotel Luna Llena

Location is fantastic - walking distance to several beaches and most bars and restaurants but still very quiet - excellent location. Customer Service was generally fantastic (except in specific instances - see below...) - Russell is actually awesome, nice, and responsive (and speaks English fluently) - the "night guy" speaks no English and is not very attentive or helpful. The daily breakfast is filling and above-average in quality. Air conditioner worked well (my Wife likes it COLD at night, and we were able to accomplish that with the AC). Now for the bad stuff...the AC unit leaked badly (probably condensation) and nothing was done about it, so we had a large puddle of water in the middle of our room...also, the water pressure was not much more than a dribble for showers - I expect more when I am paying almost $300 per night...also, water temperature was impossible to control - it either burned me or was too cold stand under. Overall, the hotel was nice, but it is "the little things" that most people remember once a vacation is completed, and I can already tell that one of the recurring stories we will tell in the future will focus on the shower situation.

We were very happy with the hotel, especially the helpful staff, location, and nice breakfast choices. Could do a little better about promoting eco friendly things like recycling and conserving towels, etc.

Gray place

Beautiful property, nestled away from the main road. Super close to beach, and all shops and dinning facilities. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is great. Wouldn't change a thing...besides a little softer bed...but not a deal breaker! Definitely would stay again!

Lovely property location and service. High marks all around

+ : L'endroit est bien situé, soit à 5min à pied de Playa Grande et d'une épicerie. La piscine est belle et bien entretenue. Le déjeuner est bon et l'homme à l'accueil (generalement en soirée) est vraiment souriant et tres sympathique. La literie est confortable et le lit principal est vraiment spacieux. Le logement est assez grand. Le coin est calme, nous avons apprécié, car nous aimons dormir tôt sans entendre tous les bruits de la ville. - : La femme à l'accueil ne semble vraiment pas faite pour travailler avec le public. Elle ne se lève pas pour repondre à nos questions depuis son bureau, donc on ne voit meme pas son visage... Beaucoup de petits insectes à l'intérieur, ne laissez absolument rien sur le comptoir, meme pas le temps de cuisiner. (Fourmis rouges qui entrent par le jour sous la porte principale.) N'avons pas eu d'eau chaude 2 nuits sur 4. Certaines assiettes etaient sales à notre arrivée, la cafetière et la cruche à jus n'étaient pas lavés. Oui, il y a une cuisinette, mais il manque tant d'éléments essentiels, que cela devient presque inutile... (Ex: pas de planche pour découper, pas de linge à vaisselle ou de support pour la déposer, lavabo minuscule (une assiette n'entre pas), un seul petit et vieu poêlon, etc.)

The property was definitely unique and beautiful. Service was very good if you leave small tips every day. We ran out of cash one day and the bed was not quite made up)). Quite nice breakfast but not too special. Beautiful swimming pool with a bit of insects now and then. Kitchen counters were not cleaned well enough on arrival. Matress on the bed was ok, but don’t expect Marriott quality. For 3 of us we had the whole bungalow which was fabulous, our daughter had the second floor. It looks better in real life than their pictures. Conveniently located to the beach and restaurants. Wear a hat and be prepared to cover your nose when walking to the beach - the road is very dusty.

Awesome location and great value! We walked to the beach from here every morning after the free breakfast which was a major bonus. The staff are very friendly and the place is kept really well. Thanks for the amazing stay! Would come back.

Really friendly staff!

Such a beautiful grounds and the bungalow are great for families! Multiple hot tubs and shallow pools! Highly recommend for families.
