Pacific Hotel Fortino

Visiting family in the neighbourhood, we were impressed with Fortino’s comfortable room, the bathroom facilities including great water pressure, the cleanliness and the breakfast options that fit both Italian, continental and a savoury English tradition. Though some of the furnishings felt a little dark and dated, the storage space was ample and the air conditioning worked well, which was a godsend in the recent heatwave we experienced. Staff were also discreet and amenable, though we did not need their service in any prolonged manner. We would have preferred having a kettle in the room, and thought it was a little steep to charge €5 to get one from Reception. We also thought that in a city with as much coffee history and culture as Turin, coffee served at breakfast should have been of stronger, better quality. Nevertheless, the stay was great value for money and comfortable. We will use this hotel as a Turin reference point!
