Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Williamsport

I made a note online when I made the reservation that I needed a handicapped accessible room due to my daughte being in a wheelchair. I called the day before the reservation and was assured we were assigned one. When we arrived after a 7 hour drive, I said to the front desk woman (who was very nice) that we were already assigned a handicapped accessible room, she said "let me make sure with my manager" He came over and said " we will see what we can do". I told him I had requested it onlne and called yesterday to confirm and he said "well, we cant guarantee it, if someone else came in and needed it" Like, what?? We did still happen to get one by why did he need to be like that, especially after a long drive, I was exhausted. Also, the phone didn't work in the room when I tried to call and request another hair dryer since the hair dryer in our room was broken. I waited by the unmanned front desk for a few minutes before the manager came around the corner and was able to get a maintenance man to get us another hair dryer. Lots of construction going on also. Normally, I dont nitpick but that first interaction when we got there rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, the place was fine to stay at.

Like location but staff seemed indifferent at checkin..HARD TO UNDERSTAND....are the employees foreigners? Called three times to get copy if folio for stay. Staff said they would email copy of recipt...NEVER received...emailed corporate for copy..got email reply but no receipt....$40 pending charge on credit card for nine days now

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Tv channels didn’t have the best reception and no tv guide. Breakfast was warm though eggs and sausage could have been more done. Biggest issue was no hot water in the shower the morning I left. I was only there for one night.

I was here in 2023 for work and enjoyed my stay. This time was a different experience. The hotel did not post anywhere on their website that they were undergoing significant renovations and the gym/pool would not be open. In addition, the noise of the renovations would be significant. The room itself was fine and the complimentary breakfast was great as usual. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency regarding current renovations will make me hesitant to come back next year.

Staff was great. Place was clean. Was under renovation but still was a nice stay

Rooms are well lit and Fan unit with AC works perfectly. Everything is new and bed is really comfortable with full size pillows
