Sunny Krk by Valamar

Prima hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Wij hadden half-pension en het ontbijt en diner was goed te noemen. Beide is in buffetvorm. Ligging hotel is goed. Je loopt zo naar het stadje Krk. Verder ligt het direct aan het de zee.

Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage im Hotel. Als wir dort waren gabs ein ABBA Tag. Von Morgens bis Abends, wo hier dann noch eine Band "Abba - ReUnion" auftrat, direkt am Pool. Wlan Empfang fast überall im Hotel. Die Hotelbar ist immer bis 24 Uhr geöffnet. Bezahlung der Getränke bei Abreise möglich. Das Büffet ob morgens oder abends war immer sehr reichhaltig. Zu 70% immer die selben Speisen aber man schafft ja auch nicht alles an einem Tag. In den Ort Krk läuft man ca. 10 min an der Promenade entlang.

Lækkert hotel, som burde være 4-stjernet. Super restaurant med lækker morgen- og aftenbuffet. Op og ned af et skønt og klart badevand - og super godt indrettet klippestrand. Mange muligheder i og omkring hotellet samt ture - især sightseeing med turbåde. Vi havde cykler med - perfekt i det kuperede terræn. Kan varmt anbefales.

Im großen und ganzen nur ein Befriedigend, da das Frühstück nicht herausragend war und es in der Taverne einige Gerichte die auf der Karte gestanden sind nicht gab, obwohl sie nicht wirklich anspruchsvoll sind, z.B. Putenfilet oder z.B. es gab auch keine Cocktails obwohl diese dort groß angeschrieben waren. Könnte schon günstiger sein, die Betten wurden nicht frisch überzogen nur mit den alten Leintüchern, Badezimmer sehr klein. Der Preis für einen Parkplatz in Hotelnähe ist ein schlechter Scherz. Der sonstige aufenthalt war nicht schlecht, sogar gut, gesamt ist es ein befriedigend, Preis-Leistung hat nicht ganz gepasst, Getränke an der Bar auch teuer. Würde beim nächsten mal vll wiederkommen, jedoch keine Halbpension mehr nehmen, zahlt sich nicht wirklich aus, das Essen in der Stadt war einfach besser.

Having paid much less for considerably better accommodation elsewhere in Croatia, we were disappointed by this hotel. The room and many of the common areas were fairly 'tired'. We had a view of the car park: I guess you have to pay more for a sea view but this wasn't ideal. The food was perfectly adequate however- typical buffet-style breakfast and dinner. The main problem with the catering was that there was no water or other drink provided with dinner unless bottled water was purchased. All drinks were priced at a much higher rate than anywhere else we had visited in the country. There was also inadequate guest parking.

Hotel would need some update and renovation. Room was not the nicest. Pool and outside area was great. Breakfast and dinner were good. Great location!

The pool area of this hotel is lovely, and it is in a good location, you can walk the promenade into town. The room was very basic, it was ok, but not near as nice as some of the other hotels we stayed in. But it was fine for our stay for a night. We didn't like that our room was down a long hallway and a set of stairs, with no elevator for that section of stairs, it made it difficult to get big luggage to the room. The air conditioning was ok, but it never really cooled the room to our preferred temperature. We got free dinner and breakfast, we didn't use either, but this might be a plus to some people. You can't get drinks or food at the pool without walking pretty far inside and the service and choices were lacking, which is a shame given how nice the pool is. We also didn't get towel cards at check in, and getting towels was another walk back into the hotel, then it took a few minutes to sort out the no towel card part. They do have a dedicated parking lot, which is nice. We never went down to the beach area, but we saw it. Also our hairdryer was broken.

Cost was high, service and food quality poor. Very disappointing especially given the price paid. We had three roomjs and will be back to KRK but not back to this hotel!

Beautiful location. We opted for the romantic suite (#219) which had the most fabulous partially covered patio as well as a bedroom and a lounge area. We felt it was worth the extra especially as it rained solid for 2 days. Beautiful pools and the sea was lovely. We were a little surprised that no alcohol was included or by renting the romantic suite no special seating for meals was included unlike resorts in Mexico where we often go. Staff were all. Dry helpful and there was a lovely walk into the village of KRK along the water

The Valamar Koralj is in an unbeatable location, hugging the Adriatic shoreline and only a short walk along seaside paths to central Krk. The staff were personable, helpful, and very friendly -- especially the tours/events person who acted somewhat as a concierge. She didn't try to sell us on anything, but gave use great information on how to use our limited time on Krk (we chose to do the self-guided olive grove hike one afternoon, based on her advice). IF you go to Krk, stay here!
