Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Elizabethtown

Third time staying at the property and I just felt the gentleman checking us in was very unprofessional. Seemed to be a bit put off that we rang the bell to get his attention to check us in. This was after standing there for a bit. We asked for extra bedding and he just seemed annoyed. We hadn’t experienced this before at this particular hotel.

I am a regular customer of this hotel. I stay at least once a quarter. But no more. As an elite points member I expect to be upgraded, there were none. OK, but then not to be put on a room overlooking the parking lot - noisy. However, most importantly, the room was dirty, so dirty that I took a washcloth to the floor by the door - yes, hands and knees wiping the floor - and took it to the front desk to show the dirt, and pieces of something that were on the floor and in the corner. I have a contract here for the next 2 years but will do everything I can to find another hotel not in the Marriot chain.

On a recent road trip, my wife and I used TripAdvisor to choose this hotel. It was easy to locate using GPS. We always request a room on an upper floor to avoid the clomping of elephants overhead. Our room was clean and quiet, and nicely updated. The breakfast area was open and spacious, with a nice selection.
