Barcelo Tanger

The hotel is new, modern, and location is great. However, we did not enjoyed our stay. Our suite located on the 1st floor, which has amazing view from the beach, but it was noisy as heck! You could hear everything from the street, 24 hours non-stop, and we couldn't sleep. The hotel is fairly new, but the maintenance is not very great, as you can see a lot of crack on tiles in the bathroom. Besides that, the service is average, but the location is nice.

We were impressed

For the price you pay, we had a broken AC unit in our room which we mentioned and nothing was done about it, our bathroom doors were broken and were not sliding or closing properly at all. The water pressure in the shower was very weak, during the breakfast the coffee machines were always not working properly and whenever you have a question or concern to the staff, they didn't seem to care about it. Definitely overhyped and overpriced

Clean, well staffed. I informed the hostess of my room number at the buffet. Yet, the next day my GF was approached for payment for her two Coke Zero's which was embarrassing. Tuesday 6am cars were driving by the hotel with horns honking for ten mi minutes as the bars let out!

Awesome place to stay, great location. We had the a balcony room overlooking the ocean/beach. Excellent breakfast and the made to order omelet is the best I have tasted.

The location was great for walking the Medina and the Hop On/Hop Off bus tour. What concerned me was being charged about $350 at check out for no apparent reason. I paid for the room in advance. There was no paperwork except for two receipts. I've messaged the hotel and plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company. The desk people spoke English until check out. One of them stood there and the other was the one who started charging. It took about 10 minutes for her to rifle through papers then make the charges.
