ON Apartments - Palace - Free Parking

The apartment was really large with two bathrooms (one shower only) spanning across two floors. However, the use of the large space wasn't fully optimized, as the double bed size was only 140-150cm width, would have expected at least 160-180cm. We were two friends and managed, but neither of us is larger. If even one of us was bigger, we would struggle to sleep comfortably. We have considered one of us could sleep on the couch downstairs but there were no spare pillows, bedding, not even a second duvet/blanket anywhere in the apartment. The shower was large and a second bathroom (with sink & toilet) was a bonus, even though there wasn't even a hand towel in the second bathroom. There were just two small and two bath towels for two people and a shower mat, no extras. When we arrived, the place was really hot, but the A/C fixed it until we've returned. However, after the A/C kicked in, we could smell a lingering smell of food, probably coming in through the vents. Perhaps a change of filters would be useful. Unfortunately, the place wasn't as clean as we'd hope or expect. The sofa was worn out and not vacuumed. We found some hair on the floor and surfaces weren't dusted (dust on nightstands, etc.). It wasn't so bad that we'd have to notify the hosts right away, as we were staying only for two nights, but it certainly wasn't as clean as one would expect from a hotel/aparthotel. The location is, however, very central, easy to explore Porto, the large market is 5min walking (perfect for a one-stop-shop breakfast) to start your day.

The double bed was too small, no extra bedding, no extra towels, should be cleaner, A/C filter could be changed, worn our sofa, some updating would be useful.

Great location, staff and utilities. It was quiet, really comfortable and would definitely stay there again.

Was missing a washing machine. That would have made it perfect for us as we were getting near the end of an 18 day trip. Nonetheless, it was still amazing.

Nice location, nice apartment

Owner left us waiting 3 hours after the agreed time for check in, never tried to call us and even insulted us. Didn't even leave sheets for 1 of the 2 beds. Worst experience ever with Booking (that didn't support at all)

Great location, quieter area with a huge supermarket a few minutes away, kitchen had everything we needed, really appreciated that the hosts communicated via WhatsApp and were easy to reach

The location is great, you can find near shopping center, supermarker, bus stops and metro statations. There are so many food points as well - restaraunts, cafes and bakery. Appartment is nice, clean and you have all you need inside. Really nice place to stay for a vacation.

Appartment located at the ground floor, the windows is basically at road level. So no sun is coming at windows and people who walk at road literally walk near the windows. Its not an disadvantage of appartment by itself, but buildig is old and walls are terribly thin, you will hear absolutely ALL neighbours - what they do, talk, cook and walk. As its appartment not a hotel, it would be nice to have a washing machine there.

The location was perfect. Clean apartment with all we need for a great stay.

It was very cozy and comfortable place with friendly staff.

It was so good to have some space! The layout worked well as was the kitchen. Nicely renovated, close to everything (including a huge supermarket), it was a delightful change from small hotel rooms.

Poly-cotton sheets was the only disappointment.

The host is very nice and helpful. We didn't expect anyone to do more than give us the keys, but they have prepared a presentation about the city and their recommendations. They even have some deals with a couple of bars or restaurants where you have a discount as an Oporto Near Palace guest.

I didn't care that much but we didn't get the hand towel, which would be probably given to us if we only asked, but we didn't.
