"Excellent experience."

Our purpose in being at the Lodge was to attend the Music Festival which we enjoyed very much. The Lodge itself is about a 10 minute walk from the music venues which was very convenient. We also appreciated transportation to and from the airport at Haley.

No suggestions for improvement.

The grounds were beautiful, room was large and had been recently upgraded with new shower, carpet, etc.

We waited for valet and bellmen for a while. The elevator was out of service. The bellmen carried only one bag for us. I guess he was not up to help with the rest of our bags because he just walked away. The price was definitely not worth the stay.

"Disappointing"

Charged me 500 dollars for one night and was supposed to be some fancy room at the resort. No it was some small a$$ room in the inn behind the resort. Nothing fancy about it what so ever and room was tiny. Would have had better value and bigger room staying at a best Western or motel 6.

All of the activities. Bowling, ice-skating, tennis, pickle ball, three pools, exceptional restaurants, etc. INCREDIBLY beautiful grounds. Thousands of colorful flowers everywhere.

"Exceptional beauty, expensive, one day is not enough"

The location and beauty of the environment is exceptional. There are many activities and facilities to enjoy. Access is easy, car parking is plentiful. Decor inside the historic Lodge is very interesting and the ambiance is nice. Swans, streams, flowers, lawns and Adirondack chairs were wonderful. The check-in and check-out at the Sun Valley Inn was friendly and efficient. Interesting to note that many guests were walking their dogs in the morning.

Prices are high, and the service was uneven: no valley or help with parking upon arrival, no help with baggage upon check-in, very slow/understaffed bar service in the Duchin bar. One day is too short to reserve and take advantage of the wide range of facilities. It was not clear beforehand in which part of the resort the room would be located; it seemed like a "secondary" location which was not really worthy of the price paid.
