Grand Hotel Royal

We had a great 3 night stay here. It’s got great facilities, nice pool with enough deck chairs and space for everyone and a nice beach club. We really liked the food options, especially for lunch. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was also great. My only criticism is the bath/ shower combination, I would prefer not to have a bath but proper shower instead.

Great Hotel… I would recommend this hotel if you want to have the best vacation. This was in such a great location and all the staff are so accommodating.

We recently returned to the Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento for the second time, and it was just as unforgettable as our first stay. This historic property is truly a gem, perched above the Mediterranean with breathtaking views that never get old. The grounds are simply stunning—lush, beautifully maintained, and perfect for enjoying a peaceful stroll. The hotel itself is elegant and has that old-world charm. What makes the experience even more special is the staff: attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, always going above and beyond to ensure guests feel cared for. From the spectacular setting to the remarkable service, the Grand Hotel Royal exceeds expectations at every turn. It’s an outstanding 5-star hotel that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Wow this hotel is breathtaking so we chose it as our wedding reception venue. It’s simply stunning the views take your breathe away. The staff are incredible a massive Thankyou to francesco who made our wedding the most perfect day you were so incredible nothing was to much trouble I couldn’t recommend you and this hotel highly enough our day was everything we dreamt it to be a massive thank you from us emma and Marc 🫶

Amazing location, beautiful view of the bay from the room - have to pay extra for this but worth it. Very attentive staff, spotlessly clean. Food was excellent. Terrace areas and swim deck were very welcoming and well staffed. Very convenient for Sorrento centre.

Room could do with some updating - shower over bath a little dated now.

Notre chambre, avec supplément pour la vue mer et dotée d’un petit balcon, se situait au deuxième étage de l’hôtel et offrait un panorama exceptionnel sur la baie de Sorrente et le majestueux Vésuve. Tout au long de notre séjour, nous avons profité d’un service de nuit irréprochable, y compris lorsque nous quittions notre chambre tardivement pour aller dîner. Le petit-déjeuner, copieux et délicieux, était servi par un personnel toujours aux petits soins, bien qu’il ne soit proposé que jusqu’à 10 heures.

La salle de bain de notre chambre était assez exiguë et les toilettes s’y trouvaient également, ce qui manquait de confort. Par ailleurs, l’accès à la piscine et à la plage privée était interdit à partir de 18h30, ce qui est regrettable car cela ne permet pas d’en profiter après une journée d’excursion. En ce qui concerne l’accueil, à l’exception d’une ou deux personnes agréables, le personnel n’était pas particulièrement sympathique et ne prenait même pas la peine de dire bonjour. Aucun geste d’attention n’a été prévu à notre arrivée : pas de cadeau de bienvenue, ni même un simple rafraîchissement. En revanche, on nous a demandé de régler le solde de notre séjour dès notre arrivée, ce qui a donné une impression d’accueil un peu froide.
