The location is beautiful. The hotel itself is actually very nice. But the best part about it is the people who run the lake swimming area across the road. The breakfast is well organised and lots of choice.

I think it’s extremely overpriced. We booked 2 rooms and one had been refurbished and the other hadn’t been. It would have made more sense to give us 2 of the same so we didn’t realise. The older room is very banged up. Lots of chipped furniture. When we checked in we weren’t notified the on site restaurant was closed for a wedding and we only discovered this when we came down for dinner at 19:00 and were then forced to pay over 30 euros for a buffet where at 19:20 we were being rushed because they said it closed at 20:00. Because we kept being rushed, we asked if a certain dish was going to be topped up or not and the lady at the front told us “yes, but you have to wait”. I’m not sure if this was a translation issue but she made us feel really stupid. We were then kept up well after 2:30am with the music from the wedding booming so we couldn’t open the windows and there’s no air con. Further to this, we went to try and ask the restaurant which way to walk to the lake and the tall man with dark hair just kept shouting closed at us but didn’t bother to listen to what we were actually asking. We went to the bar one afternoon to find it completely closed. We then asked at reception where we could get a drink and they advised us to sit outside and that it’s like restaurant service. They didn’t realise that’s where we’d been sitting for an hour and 45 minutes before that and nobody had come over. We went back in to ask again and they told us again to go and sit down and someone would come. When someone finally did arrive I attempted to order a gin and tonic to be told the bar is locked and I couldn’t have that but my friends were able to order a beer and a coke? At the the restaurant, I’d ordered a steak and asked for a steak knife, to be told they don’t have any. So I had to saw at the meat. In the entire time we were there, we didn’t once see any management. The experience wouldn’t have been so bad if it hadn’t been advertised as a 4 star hotel.

Perfect location, large and clean room, very well organized. Friendly staff and a good breakfast.
