Great view!

Loved it all!

A lovely inn. We stayed on Sunday and after a visit to San Juan Island we came back to stay again.

Breakfast was good with cereal, hard boiled eggs and breads. No mystery meats included Great location to go to ferries in the morning

Quiet, clean spacious room with a peekaboo view of the Guemes Channel. Location was perfect for me though 10 minutes from “town.”

The staff are amazing always have been! The views are immaculate very quiet location!

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Ship Harbor Inn. I have stayed here regularly (about once a week for the past couple of months) and never had an issue—until now, and this was bad enough that I will never return. I prepaid for a 2-night stay through Booking.com and was approved ahead of time for a late check-in. When I arrived at 1:30 AM, exhausted, the owner told me it was “too late” and that I needed to go somewhere else—even though I had already paid. When I tried to explain, he insisted I hadn’t paid and attempted to charge my card again. Then he told me to “come back when I had money” and hung up on me. I was left in tears, stranded in the middle of the night, completely confused and disrespected. After calling back and practically begging to resolve it, he finally let me stay one night—but not without threatening that I could be escorted off the property by police in the morning if I didn’t check in immediately with the front desk. It only got worse from there. The room I was given (Cottage #9) was absolutely disgusting. It had not been cleaned at all—trash still in the cans, clearly untouched from the previous guest. I felt uncomfortable even being in the room, but at that point I had nowhere else to go. The next morning, the front desk staff confirmed what I already knew—that my stay had been fully paid and the room should never have been assigned in that condition. They were kind and apologetic, but it doesn’t undo what happened. This was not just inconvenient—it was humiliating and completely unacceptable. Being treated like I was trying to scam them, nearly being charged twice, spoken down to, hung up on, and then put into a filthy, uncleaned room is something no guest should ever experience. It’s honestly shocking that a place can operate this way.

More personal service , better signage of the hotel location, open concierge at least 6 AM

The location, view and room were all great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was so much more than expected. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Leaving was the only downside.
