InterContinental Edinburgh The George by IHG

Super stay at The George. I phoned ahead and said it was my partners birthday. They helped to decorate the room and organised prosecco - huge thank you to the concierge who made this all so easy. Would definitely stay again- staff were all so helpful and made the occasion so special.

We had a lovely 2 day stay at The George last week. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we went to the lounge and had coffee and then returned to reception. I had booked a premium room and had added on club lounge access by email before we arrived. The receptionist was very friendly and explained the layout of the hotel. Our luggage had already been taken up to our room. She then informed us we had been upgraded to a suite facing on to George St. A lovely surprise!The suite was beautiful with a separate living area and a beautiful shower room with fabulous toiletries. There was also a bottle of prosecco in an ice bucket waiting for us. We used the lounge access for drinks in the evenings we were there. There were also canapes and sweet treats available too. We were offered soft drinks wine and beer on our first visit then champagne was available on our second night. Turndown service was excellent too with fresh bottles of water,hand cream and lip balm left at your bedside. We also had breakfast both mornings in the lounge which was excellent with great service from all staff. We really enjoyed our stay and will return soon. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well.

When I arrived to the hotel, I received the warmest welcome. They had the room ready on time, and they gave me the best service. The location is in the center of the city and you are able to walk around everywhere to everything accessible. The room was lovely with a great view as well of the city. The staff was also so nice, they made sure that everything was perfect. It is also easy to get off the tram from St. Andrews square.

Meticulous spacios bedroom with fantastic views! The crew specially in the Lounge were with excellent hospitality. All the crews were warm and courteous. Location was perfect and beautiful surroundings, walkable to the station too

We loved it. Stayed recently for 2 nights. Lovely old building in a fantastic location. You can walk to everything. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean and modern. The bed was so comfortable - like sleeping on marshmallows. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for accommodation in Edinburgh.

This hotel is well located, close to Waverley station, Princes St., the Scottish National Gallery, the Scottish Portrait Gallery, the hop on/hop off bus, the Airlink stop from the airport, the tram to/from airport. The room was cosy, comfortable. It was large enough for me to move around in. Service was excellent. Everyone who worked there was friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was most adequate. I'd totally stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!
