Country Lodge Kinloch

This is a lovely inn nestled in the hillside overlooking Lake Taupo. The proprietors were charming and gracious and the breakfasts were delicious! We were very comfortable during our two nights at this inn. The bed and the rest of our room was perfect. This was a nice base from which were were able to explore the surrounding area.

Great location with a view of the lake. Friendly hosts including the gracious Mabel. Interesting conversation with the other guests at breakfast.

Beautiful house & bedroom with ensuite & located in countryside close to Kinloch & Lake . Inviting cosy lounge available & lovely decor . Beautiful views over valley to Kinloch & Lake Toupo. Great stay for rest & relaxation, walks in the country side , close to cycling / hiking tracks & Lake . Very nice full breakfast while looking out to the lovely countryside & Lake. Stephen & Christine exceptional hosts & gorgeous Mabel very sweet gentle Labrador who greets you with her toys . We wish we could have had more time .

Very nice bed and breakfast in a large house; guest area and the hosts' area was well separated; great sitting area and sun room; loved the breakfasts. Nice hosts that were helpful and very professional.

Loved the view from the cottage and the surrounding landscape. Loved the cows, really made you feel in the country. And the dog is adorable. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious and a great add-on for those who don’t feel like cooking.

A beautiful house, Christina & Stephen were amazing! We stayed in the downstairs room which was spacious and had amazing lake views. The food was delicious and they were very helpful with my EV and my partners motorcycle. Kinloch beach is lovely for swimming.

It is a 15 minute drive from Taupo but it is so quiet and peaceful.
