Hotel Belair

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with stunning views, we could stay on our room terrace for hours at end just looking at the view. Our room was fantastic and had everything we needed and more - the mini bar is well stocked and the soft drinks are complimentary which is amazing. Staff were super nice and helpful and we couldn’t praise them enough. Breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed a wonderful in the restaurant and staff sang happy birthday to my husband and even gave him a cake which was very unexpected and super thoughtful. We would have liked to stay longer.

This isn’t about the hotel itself but you do have to be mindful that it is upon the top of a cliff and getting around to other parts of the area can be challenging. We took taxis a lot for this reason.

There were so many positive things to report about this wonderful hotel. Our family first stayed here 16 years ago when our 2 children were 15 and 16 and we loved our stay and our rooms with spectacular views of Naples and Vesuvius. We returned 16 years later with our daughter, her husband and their 2 babies, Sofia, 2 and Luca, 1 years old. We stayed for 6 glorious nights and did day trips every day. The location of this hotel makes it easy to not only visit other Amalfi coast villages, but also to walk and see Sorrento. Not only is this hotel magnificent, the entire staff is fabulous. They greeted all of us everyday and were so kind and patient to the grand babies. The front desk, breakfast staff, bar staff and even the pool staff knew Sofia and Luca by name and were so thoughtful. Every morning and night the bar and breakfast staff happily would prepare warm bottles of milk for the babies. The front staff also was great on helping us get taxies and answering any questions we had. We had requested two connecting rooms with balconies and they delivered. We were celebrating our 35th Wedding anniversary and our daughter and her husband's 5 th anniversary . When we entered our rooms, we each had a lovely hand written note welcoming us back, a bottle of champagne and sweet treats. Having the connecting rooms was so nice for the babies to run, Sofia, or crawl, Luca between our rooms. The view from the balconies is so pretty, a 180 degree view. The lobby, pool area, exercise room, library and restaurant are all beautiful. The breakfast selections were delicious and we were even allowed to order choices off the menu such as French toast and eggs Benedict.They even would serve you complimentary Prosecco which was special. Some of the staff we wish to thank personally are, Raffaela, Annalisa, Angelo, Francesco, Franco, Graziano, Francesca, Olga, Antonio, Maria and Noemi. Thank you all for making our stay with you so memorable.

We had a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius! The staff were so attentive and friendly. A wide choice of breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the bay and staff were welcoming each morning. Our room was kept immaculately! It was a great base for us, with Sorrento only a short walk away.

We spent a week in September 2025 at the Belair hotel in Sorrento. It was a great place to base out of for trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Amalfi Coast towns. The staff get top marks for going above and beyond with all of their service. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Beyond the usual help with restaurants or taxis, they came to the rescue when I left a blouse at a beach club in Positano where we had gone for the day. They were able to call the club, determine that the club had my blouse and then arranged for someone to bring it back to the hotel for me. I had written it off as a lost cause unless we ferried back to Positano but they really saved the day. The staff in the restaurant was also excellent. Special shout out to Annalise (sp?) who would greet us every morning with a smile and check on what we were up to for the day. Others were also very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was exceptional. They came in twice a day and got the room in tip top shape. The location is exquisite with views towards the town and over to Vesuvius. We had a lovely patio to sit and watch all the boat traffic in the bay. The one thing that would have made it even better is a shuttle or some sort of transport up from Marina Grande where the “beach” access is. And also to and from the town. We walked into town daily and it was fine but there were some days when we had just walked enough and had to take a taxi or bus. Obviously, that is doable but a shuttle car would have been a nice touch.

This was hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! The view from our room and balcony was breathtaking and I will dream of this trip and sipping my morning cappuccino on the balcony for years to come. The room and bathroom were clean, all common areas of the hotel were spotless, the pool was kept up with and area maintained every day. We had drinks and a snack by the pool one day, breakfast at Calypso, drinks at Oblivion, and room service and all of it was fantastic. We were welcomed in upon arrival and it was such a cozy lobby area. I would return here again and again. It sits above the rest of Sorrento and the marina in a beautiful spot, but it only takes like 10 minutes or less to walk into the town area and marinas (or take the stairs). Every detail here was immaculate, down to the welcome message, hand written note, welcome dessert in our room, and bathroom amenities including robes and slippers. Nothing was overlooked.
