Leonardo Hotel Nottingham

I booked for one night, but when I arrived, I decided to book for two more days. Jack, on reception, was very accommodating and was able to combine my two different bookings and put me in the same room for my whole stay. The staff in general were fantastic. First time staying at a Leonardo hotel and I want disappointed.

Only complaint is that the toilet roll sheets are very small and you have to use a lot of it.

The breakfast self service buffet offered a large variety of food, from à cooked full English to cereals, fruits and pastries. The location is excellent if you're arriving by train, and it's within walking distance of the Motorpoint Arena and the old Lace Market area. Anything further afield we just called an Uber. Never had to wait long and cheaper than the local taxis.

Very convenient for the station, I’ve stayed here many times over the years and in many other places in the same price range I’d pick this over them any time . The bar is very very nice . Some nice little touches I note it was the weekend of Download and they’d left out bags in case people were staying after a day ticket or not camping could put any muddy boots in . Lobby smells nice , nice drinking water in lobby etc etc . Beds not the biggest but comfortable for my taste . Also if it’s your thing some very nice views to be had from this hotel for miles around . Also lifts are super rapid ones .

I prefer a separate shower / bath not stepping in a bath for a shower but that is nitpicking.. I rate the place .

Although I was not affected friends had to ask to be moved from their rooms due to drilling on Friday morning, that started at 8am. The sound was unbearable no warning of this disturbance was provided.

The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was ok.

The toilet flush system did not work properly which was a pain. For a 4 star hotel I find it quite poor that breakfast was not automatically included (even though I knew this when booking the room) there was no mini fridge included which was a bit annoying and I found that the price of the room was a bit too much as there wasn't even parking included. This had to be paid for separately and was inconvenient. The carpets were stained and underneath the bathroom handle, the locking function was worn away and grubby.
