Hotel Regina Palace

A grand hotel in the turn of the century style: Gold, mirrors and chandeliers everywhere. Positives: outside space and pool are lovely. Wifi and aircon good. Breakfast fine, but evening meal not so much (we were on half board). Negatives: while meal service was good, getting things done in the room was problematic. Had to ask twice for an additional pillow (why only one extra in room?). The pillows themselves were rock hard. Asked for the mini bar to be emptied, so I can put my own drinks in there (1 euro for a beer from the supermarket vs. 6euro from the hotel). Had to ask three times for this to be done despite agreeing to the 5euro charge per night. Tip: buy drinks and snacks at the supermarket (5 mins walk).

The hotel has not changed in 50 years. The decide is very Victorian with lovely touches. The future and fixings are very nice and period. The hotel is set in nice grounds in a lovely position overlooking the lake and a short stroll to the town. Rooms are quite small but again period features. A huge bed and very high ceilings. Spain's very good with indoor pool. The garden at the back is very peaceful with tables, bar and swimming pool. Breakfast is average for the British. Lots of fruit and pastry with limited hot food. If you want an omelet it's 12 euro! A menu at breakfast for most things like eggs etc, all chargeable! The bar is expensive with limited choose of drinks. Service generally is ok, efficient but lacks personality and interaction.

Zentral, freundlich, sauber, grosser Saal, Parkhaus

Einrichtung sehr alt und spezieller Stil, aber gut in Schuss. Klimaanlage im Zimmer in der Nacht sehr laut. Sie liess sich nicht abstellen. Musste doppelt bezahlen. Sie haben gesagt, sie hätten Geld von Booking nicht bekommen. Bis heute habe ich von keiner Seite eine Rückerstattung.

Hotel de 1906 relativamente bien mantenido. Buen desayuno y un parking al lado del hotel grande y comodo. A unas cuadras del centro de Stresa y muy cerca de donde salen los barcos

En la descripción dice habitación con vista al mar ( cierto) y balcón pero es tan chico que difícil que entren dos personas. El baño relativamente nuevo pero la iluminación de la habitación ESPANTOSA. Veladores colgantes con una luz tenua que aun con la araña prendida no te permitían leer bien

Pour commencer, le parking souterrain, facile d'accès, libre de mouvement, est bien dimensionné. Le style victorien, une pure merveille ! L'espace intérieur, les dégagements, la facilité de mouvement. L'accueil, le service, et le professionnalisme de l'ensemble du personnel. La propreté et le soin dans les moindres détails. Le restaurant Charleston avec un gastronomie raffinée et exquise. La terrasse en face du lac. La proximité des embarcadères. et enfin dans cette liste non exhaustive, le petit déjeuner, sans pareil pour débuter une agréable journée. Juste...bravo
