Podczas podróży po Portugalii przenieśliśmy się na parę dni z Porto do Guimaraes, aby tam stworzyć sobie bazę wypadową do zwiedzania północnej Portugalii. Trzeba jednak wiedzieć, że w centrum Guimaraes, ze względu na jego historyczny charakter w ogóle nie można zaparkować samochodu. Tak trafiliśmy do Villa Margaridi – leżącej na uboczu od centrum, wręcz ukrytej między nowymi ulicami i osiedlami posiadłości, która okazała się prawdziwą oazą. Duży prywatny parking, wspaniały ogród z końca 19. wieku, basen i odrestaurowana historyczna posiadłość, której część zamieniono na nowoczesne apartamenty dla turystów. Apartamenty zawierają w pełni funkcjonalny aneks kuchenny. Jakość i czystość na najwyższym poziomie. Śniadania w formie różnorodnych zapasów w lodówce i codziennie świeżego pieczywa. Do tego bardzo miły właściciel – czuliśmy się jak goście specjalni, może dlatego, że byliśmy w Villa Margaridi pierwszymi gośćmi z Polski? Jestem pewien, że nie ostatnimi.

Beautiful place and José was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble

Nous avons été très bien accueillis. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter la ville. Très belle maison et très agréable

What did we like? Everything. We traded multiple messages with the owner (Jose) before our arrival, and he met us in person to show us to our apartment and explained the unique history of the property. Every day during our visit either he or someone else made an effort to check in on us and offer us an evening Port Wine. The apartment was well-outfitted with a living room, dining room, three bedrooms and three and half bathrooms, with a secluded outside patio. Ample food was provided for breakfast, including fresh bread every day. Guimarães castle and city center are easily walkable, as are grocery stores, but driving is also convenient if walking isn't your thing.

There was no way humanly possible to eat all of the bread that was delivered every day. We ended up with enough extra that it was able to feed me for the four day return journey!! The only other negative was that two of the three bedrooms had only single beds rather than a double beds for couples. If you are booking the apartments with multiple couples, recommend letting them know ahead of time to see if they can "join" the beds.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Margaridi. We enjoyed the Pool and the historical gardens. Jose is wonderful host. It is the perfect location to visit Guimaraes

Tout était parfait

El personal del hotel. Ha sido un placer conocerles y disfrutar de la estancia. Las casas de piedra y el jardín estan precioso. Y las copitas de oporto que te ofrecían cada vez que te veían un detallazo.

Nada que decir. Que tenía que haber estado más días.

Fuimos 4 amigos a ver el campeonato de rally del mundo en portugal y nos alojamos en una de las villas de 3 habitaciones, el lugar es un lugar comodo y acogedor muy bien cuidado y con todo lo que puedas necesitar. Tanto Jose como el personal fueron personas muy atentas, el alojamiento contaba con todo lo necesario para un buen desayuno o incluso algun picoteo, nos invitaron a una copa al llegar y el segundo dia nos proporciono mas merleda ya que se nos habia acabado. Cabe resaltar que el motivo por el que ibamos conlleva de madrugar mucho y Jose se encargo de que tuvieramos pan reciente ambos dias por la mañana muy pronto antes de acudir a ver el rally. Sin ninguna duda un lugar idoneo para tu alojamienro.
