De locatie van het hotel is vlakbij het havengebied, dus niet echt aantrekkelijk, maar op 50 m bij het Brentakanaal is het dorpje Malcontenta (met café en restaurant) en verderop langs het kanaal is een mooie "landelijke" omgeving. Wij hebben het gekozen vanwege het feit dat je er prima, gratis kan parkeren met je auto. De bushalte voor de bus naar Venetië is tegenover het hotel en in 20-25 min arriveer je in Venetië. De prijs-kwaliteit van het hotel is heel gunstig vergeleken met hotels in Venetië. Prettig personeel, en goede informatie over restaurants en bezienswaardigheden en de bus/watervervoer tarieven etc. (kaartjes te koop bij receptie) Elke dag schone lakens/handdoeken. Ontbijt was ook goed. Aanrader restaurant in Mestre: Osteria del Lupo Nero.

Ik had een rustiger kamer aan de achterkant gevraagd, maar dat verzoek is niet ingewilligd. Het verkeersgeluid aan de voorkant van het hotel, valt wel mee.
