The location was great and the house was very clean. Berti is great host, helped us with the bags and recommendations for food and sight seeing.

Top marks for this cosy little guest house. Bertie went out of his way to meet me when my bus from Mostar was delayed by 2hrs, and he and his team really have thought of all the little touches that make a stay both practical and special, such as crockery and cutlery for cups of tea and coffee, and snacks and breakfast - a generous amount of snacks are also provided. The location is right around the corner of the old town and a number of bus routes, and is mostly quiet. I did have some noisy girls upstairs, but when I told Bertie he cared, he sent them messages and was serious about caring for his guests, which I don't always experience in other establishments. The WiFi was mostly good, the bathroom was the right size and it didn't take long for the water to heat up. You can also open the window for fresh air and there is an AC too (which I didn't need to use). I really can't fault Apartments Paese.

Honestly everything was great. It isn't big enough for a lift, and although there aren't a lot of stairs, if you have trouble with stairs this place isn't for you - but this isn't a dislike from me at all, just information to help other travellers. If you are travelling with a companion, or companions, please, please be considerate of your noise volumes. There is no lounge or bar here, so if you want to stay up and have fun, choose a hotel with this facility or head to one of the many many bars in Split.

Location is extraordinary. The hosts are the best hosts I have ever had in my long life of travelling experience. The best hosts ever. I would recommend it to everyone. Very clean, and very professional.

Compact but it has everything you need! Hairdryer, toiletries, towels, tea/coffee/utensils/crockery/kettle/mini-fridge, maps, information, hangers, aircon/heating system, TV. Location is convenient: <10 mins easy walk from Old Town or main bus/train station. Host was very responsive and easy to talk to, very hospitable. There are power outlets on both sides of the bed and the room is thoughtfully furnished with a lot of things considered.

The towel quality could really be improved, it’s not very soft but it’s clean. The bedding/pillow quality could also improve the comfort level. The bedsheet and blanket cover can also be higher quality. The bed runner and cushion should be removed if it’s not cleaned upon each use. Overall not a complaint, just feedback for improvement. It’s quite decent for the price.
