Bedford Motel

Considering how many negative reviews that cropped up the week before the trip, I was beginning to get a little worried about the condition of the rooms. But overall, the place was not bad. If you've ever gone to a state college, you have stayed in far worse rooms. The fridge worked, the heat worked, and the shower was perfect. Only thing you might want to do is bring an extra blanket and some spare pillows for yourself.

The service was great. The cleanliness of the hotel was not. There was mold in the shower and it filled the room with mold moisture air. I’m allergic to mold so it made me and my cousin who stayed with me both very sick. The hotel stunk of smoke even tho signs say no smoking. Very dusty in the hotel. Sheets on the bed didn’t look clean. Towels either.

I checked in the room at 6 PM, there were lot of fly in the room. I called receptionist and they gave me spray but it didn't worked. I was unable to sleep all night due to fly. I had killed at least 8 fly by going all around behind the fly by using towel beating to fly. I would never recommend to stay in this motel.

The motel was OK in general, but there was no maid service (was there two nights) so no change of towels or straghting bed. Was low price but missed basic services.

This motel is VERY no frills. We walked in and were nearly knocked over by the smell of men’s cologne that was obviously meant to mask odor. It was so bad that we could still smell and taste it after having left the motel. There was mold all over the caulking around the base of the shower. The beds were horrible. There is a reason they don’t issue refunds. When you see inside your room, you won’t want to stay.

The whole room could have used a good deep clean. There was mildew and hair in the shower. The floor was gritty. And there was dust on top of the lampshades and windowsill. Upon arriving, the room had a strong stale-ish potpourri-ish smell. The doors looked dirty. And the bathroom door would get stuck. We had to ask for new towels, due to them not cleaning the rooms during the stay. Which is "good", but there was no protocol for getting clean towels during the stay. When I would ask, the lady at the counter would check, to see how many days I was staying. Before giving me more towels. We stayed because of the price and being only 20 minutes outside Boston. The stay was good, just needs better cleaning.

The room Door had obviously been broken into before, the dead bolt worked but the door jam for the door knob lock was not intact, the door knob itself was loose. The customer service was very poor. The same gentlemen at check in/out was not overly helpful and a bit rude.

I don't typically have bad experiences with hotels so I didn't purchase the safety net. My bad. We chose a smoking room so we could smoke here and there. Walking in, it is immediately unbreathable. We tried to stay for an hour or two; that's when we started feeling like chain smokers without even smoking. Explaining to the front desk the situation, he proceeded to make me feel stupid for purchasing a smoking room. It is understood that we purchased a smoking room, however we also expected a breathable room. We turned our keys in and went to a different hotel for the night.

love the old fashioned feel and the restaurant next door,, Bathrooms not so clean and would like a real glass or cup instead of plastic.
