Super 8 by Wyndham Beckley

Our two rooms and bathrooms were extremely dirty, found cockroaches walking on the walls in one of the rooms, and other room had no towels or toilet paper at all, bedding was dirty and unchanged from previous guests. We loved Super 8 in Gatlinburg TN, and Bridgeport WV, but we would never stay again at Super 8 in Beckley, WV.

If you need a sign, here it is! This place was terrible! It reeked of weed. It was DIRTY. It was sketchy. My bedding was dirty, the carpet was disgusting, the bathroom was filthy. I honestly do not think that place has been cleaned for 5 years. I didn’t even want to lay in the bed. DO NOT STAY HERE! Especially if you’re a woman or have kids! I will NEVER stay at this place again.

First of all, the hotel never got the reservation I made through hotel.com, after long search, we finally found a phone number to talk to someone from hotel.com, after many tries, the hotel still didn’t have the reservation and we had to cancel the prepaid reservation through hotel.com and paid as a walk-in. I am still waiting for the refund from hotel.com. The room was dirty, we kill two cockroaches shortly after we got to our room. The walls were thin with poor sound insulation, we could hear the neighbors and traffic noise from outside. To top it off, there was no hot water for shower, no maintenance staff until 8 am. I am not sure how this hotel is allowed to operate like this.

This should be designated as a SMOKING HOTEL. There were smell of smoke all over the place, even in non smoking rooms. My kid fell sick.

Topmost the room smelled so bad. I cannot even describe it like pee-musty-smoke. Awful. There were no tissues just an empty box. There were dead roaches on the bathroom floor. Thank God no live ones!!!! The spread on the beds smelled bad too. Burn holes all around. The lamp flickered-annoying. Holes in the lampshade…should I go on really now?

Good value for a quick stopover

The room was dirty, sticky goo on table, needed vacuuming, bugs in room, cold shower, kleenex box empty, no hand towels. Breakfast buffet - juice dispenser empty, cereal dispenser empty, coffee cold, syrup dispenser empty, Won't ever return!

There was cigarette buds and ash in the toilet. Toilet was dirty clearly not clean and there was multiple cockroaches in the ac unit.

Absolutely horrible! Smelled so strong of smoke it made me gag. There were cockroaches, drops of blood and dirty rags around the room. I walked right back out to my car and left. They should be embarrassed. It was ridiculously disgusting!!

We didn't end up staying because as soon as we entered the room we saw bed bugs.
