Super 8 by Wyndham Beckley

Nothing too bad, but everywhere smelled like smoke, even not smoking rooms, and some things didnt work. No major issues for the price, so 3/5 average seems fair to me

Typically, we stay in Summersville, WV when making a north-to-south drive, but we were enjoying the scenery and continued to Beckley. That was a mistake. Having stayed in a couple of other Super 8 hotels recently, we select the one in Beckley. Without question this was the dirtiest hotel we have visited in the past 10 years. I don't think the carpet in the room has been vacuumed for a couple of months. Roaches were exiting and entering uncaulked tiles by the bathtub. The room was non-smoking but smelled of the smoke from other parts of the facility. The blankets on the beds had multiple burn holes. The bath towels were worn, thin, and more eggshell colored and white. The surrounding restaurants were mediocre. All of that for one of the higher prices we encountered for a Super 8. On the positive side: The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the refrigerator and wifi worked. However, we will say either in Summersville or Bluefield next time.

arrived to unkept property, staff and friends smoking right at the front entrance. lobby/breakfast area reeked of stale/secondhand cigarette smoke. rooms were beyond disgusting. we had 2 rooms booked and both of us requested new rooms. The replacements were worse than the first. the room conditions and the smell of this property were so bad, we left without a refund and went up the street to the holiday inn. I would sleep outside on the ground before I returned to this Wyndham hotel. Absolutely disgusting. Wyndam and Expedia should be embarrassed to have any affiliation to this property.

Not clean.

One of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed in. Carpets were heavily stained, walls and curtains were filthy. Had the area we needed to be in, not been sold out, we would have definitely switched hotels. The worst part was it was one of the more expensive per night, hotels in the area.

Nothing special- served its purpose

This was the most nasty place that I have ever stayed. If I could share my pictures here, you would know what I mean. I was in a spot and could not get a room elsewhere! I had a reservation for four nights, but OMG I should have just slept in my car! Don't t stay here!

I will start with the staff was wonderful. The hotel itself needs help. Cleanliness was the main issue. Bathrooms were disgusting floors didnt look moped base of toilet had gelatinous urine all over, walls looked like mold or fecal matter towels dirty pillows had hair on them. Bathroom had german roaches. Sheets appeared clean. Had no other options had to stay there once in town though sleeping in the car was on the table. Would not recommend or stay there again. Very very disappointed in Wyndham. Will seriously investigate any Wyndham in the future. Appearantly Wyndham does not care about their reputation or maybe this is now just what they have become.

Room was musty and dirty.

Smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag. Non smoking room smells with cigarette smoke.
