B&B Palazzo Boccaccio

La struttura é molto bella, terrazzo meraviglioso per cenare e guardare le stelle. I gestori sono molto disponibili e rispondono istantaneamente a qualunque ora e per qualunque richiesta. I posti migliori dove parcheggiare liberamente sono via IV novembre, via Vittorio Veneto e via calvario.

The apartment had a nice aesthetic and was visually pleasant. The host also provided some snacks on arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is great—right in the heart of the historic center, making it easy to explore the area on foot.

The apartment looks nice on the surface, but the actual experience was far from comfortable. The listing mentioned a wardrobe, but we were only given three hangers each for a full week’s stay. After contacting the host and showing a screenshot of the listing, we were told it was a Booking.com error. The host promised to bring more hangers the next day, but they only arrived a day later. The kitchen was extremely inconvenient and practically unusable. There was nothing properly equipped, and the only cookware available were two old, worn-out pots left on the floor (photo attached). On top of that, we were given only two toilet paper rolls for the entire week—which frankly just comes off as stingy. In short, while the apartment has a nice aesthetic, the lack of comfort and attention to basic needs made the stay disappointing, and definitely not worth the price we paid.

The good: location in Matino, check-in was easy, host was friendly, coffee machine and some breakfast options.

The bad: unable to sleep at all because it is extremely noisy. The bed is noisy, and there is no sound isolation from outside. We could hear the birds, cats, trash truck, cars, people talking, and everything the whole night.

I recently stayed at Palazzo Boccaccio in Matino and had a very pleasant experience. The location is ideal, situated close to a variety of bars and restaurants, making it easy to enjoy the local dining scene. The apartment itself was well-suited for a long stay, with all the essentials provided. The air conditioning was especially helpful during the warmer days. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. After two weeks, we needed more space, and they allowed us to move to a bigger unit within the same building, which was much appreciated. Overall, Palazzo Boccaccio in Matino provided a comfortable and convenient stay. I would definitely stay here again on future visits.
