Excellent location overlooking the sea and beach. Warm comfortable room with a great shower. Friendly , helpful staff. Lovely breakfast too.

The breakfast time was very short, only 30 minutes. Also I would prefer the tea to be made fresh not stewed ,already made on the table.

The sea view was absolutely fabulous, as it got a little darker it really was lovely. Also having free parking was a plus although our car was blocked in by other guests, we didn't end up needing it anyway.

The room was very basic and run down. The windows did not open and we were on the 3rd floor. This was a little scary as there was only the stairs as an exit incase of fire. Door handles and window frames looked quite dirty and the pull cord in the bathroom was black and brown, something that we used a towel to pull when we needed to use it. At the end of the day we used the room to sleep in which is alls we needed it for.

The room was warm cosy and had top floor which was nice the management was nice and polite.

When returning to the hotel after being told by management wot time breakfast was the bar staff were rude and abrupt argumentif my wife is diabetic we had no milk and sugar and refused point blank to provide any extra didn't care moaning also about paying for drinks on card when she wanted cash

This was the second time we've stayed at The Four Oaks Hotel. We love the Victorian style of the building, the lift, the staff and the breakfasts. We had a lovely big room with magnificent Sea views. Our stay was delightful.

It's necessary to park the car behind the Hotel and walk around to the front. Other Hotels along the front have pedestrian access from the car parking into the hotel which s far better in horizontal rain! Our room was blazing HOT! the radiator was set on High 6, we turned it off and the temperature was pleasant. Same problem with the corridors and dining room - everywhere incredibly HOT! I appreciate that many of their clients are elderly but those temperatures were basically unpleasant. Also, the milk for the teamaking facilities were those little tubes of watery milk where you need at least 3 to make a decent tea or coffee with milk. So more were needed.
