"Dont stay here"

2.0

The over all stay was bad. They couldn't find my reservation, they disabled the key cards each day ( we paid for 2 1/2 days upfront) because they wanted to make sure it was only us in the room. They were rude. Just don't stay if you absolutely dont have to

"The scariest place I've stayed"

2.0

I just needed a close placr to stay for a concert. The front desk cleck barely spoke English and was completely unhelpful. No mention how scary the parking lot was. I only stayed the one night and I couldn't wait to get out of there. I feel lucky nothing happened to me. Unsafe place to stay. Can I give less than one star?

"Hotel Biohazard"

2.0

I'm an experienced traveler and I have stayed in many unfortunate accommodations around the world, so it surprises me that the ultimate answer to "I really need a place to stay--how bad could this place be?" is the Palace Suites in Dallas, Texas. It is the worst hotel experience of my life. There are lots of miserable things about this hotel: it is squalid; it is clearly a place to bring prostitutes; the staff at the front desk are the traveler-nemesis holy trinity of unhelpful, unintelligible, and unconcerned; the lock on our room had been broken off; the smoke alarm was missing; the towels were not clean; the floor was not safe for bare feet; and the blanket on the bed had obviously not been laundered this decade, but was it was still less suspicious than the sheets. While no one of these is rare to find in an in-a-pinch hotel, only the most loathsome hotels that have true contempt for their guests exhibit all of these traits. All of the above would make the Palace Suites *one* of the worst places I have stayed in my life, but my discovery upon moving the nightstand to find a plug for my charger solidified its rank as *the* worst. When I moved the nightstand I found a USED CONDOM, a POST-VAGINAL TAMPON, and a box cutter knife THAT APPEARED TO HAVE BLOOD STAINS ON IT (see attached picture). These are biohazards as well as court-admissible evidence! Yet, unbelievably, the desk was still unresponsive and would not refund my money. So, we stayed an uneasy night in a crime scene. On the plus side, at least the Mexican restaurant next door has great breakfast tacos.
