Fes Marriott Hotel Jnan Palace

Great base in Fes for the family. Terrific service and food choices. Fantastic pool. Don't miss the Hammam treatment - Btissam is superb!

Be aware there are a number of large tour groups who use this hotel. Bearing that in mind we went later for breakfast on both mornings we stayed there - after 0900, however on the first morning we were greeted with three words by the front of restaurant host. "Room number?" followed by "anywhere" On entering the restaurant there were a large number of empty tables but they had not been cleared away. We eventually found a table but there then followed a search for bowls to use for yoghurt and then spoons. When the waiter eventually came back with spoons we were told that they had been busy and did not have enough! One waiter did come to our table and apologised, bringing mint tea with him, and he chatted with us suggesting that the following morning we ask for a breakfast Moroccan style which he highly recommended. The following morning there was less chaos, but on asking for the recommended breakfast we were told that they did not do that. The bathrooms do not have extractor fans, so that if you use the shower there is quite a bit of condensation builds up. I asked for a copy of my bill to be sent by email, but all i received was a blank invoice with no details on it. All in all I felt this was an overpriced hotel which under delivered on service. Not what I would have expected from Marriott.

Grounds pleasant

Service poor. I had a number of problems with the room and lack of service in the first 24 hours, and on going poor service. Impossible to get a simple breakfast of muesli, plain low fat yogurt and a banana. Various things on menus not available. Quality of aspects of room poor. All disappointing in what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel.
