Hôtel Le Pic Blanc

This hotel was close to the pistes in the Bergers area of Alp D'Huez (a couple of minute walk to the lifts). The hotel was well furnished and had a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was good. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant, it smelt good! - book a table early if you want to eat in! The swimming pool was warm and clean. There was free parking situated adjacent to the hotel but they also had their own underground car park (height limit 2m). They allowed dogs - on their website it said €15 per night but once at the hotel this turned into €15 per pet per night. This was our only negative!

All was great. Nice room, excellent dinners and breakfasts, plenty of parking, close to the lifts.

Well located, comfortable and well decorated hotel with excellent food. The pool was a great bonus to unwind after a day's skiing. Good sized rooms with excellent views across the valley. Excellent staff provided courteous and efficient service. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. This is the second year we have used it.

We stayed at the Pic Blanc end of February for our family skiing holiday. I used the reviews when booking to make my decision, so adding my thoughts for others. Location - good, there is a free car park directly outside, and it is a 2minute walk to the commercial center and slopes in shoes, about 5 mins in ski boots. Ski hire - there is a ski set shop in the locker room of the hotel for guests. We pre booked on line, everything was ready on arrival and they could not have been more helpful. I 100% recommend them. Hotel - we had a family room at the back of the hotel with a great view over the valley and piste. Room was quiet, comfortable, and clean and well furnished. We all slept very well and had no issues at all. Breakfast was great and the restaurant is in a lovely location. We booked half board and I did have reservations having read the reviews. Service was excellent, we went in on the first sitting 6-45 - 7-30pm as we had our son with us and we're easily finished in an hour and a half. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was good, soup, choice of 2 starters, 2 mains, then a buffet of desserts and cheese. Plus vegetarian option, fondue, raclette etc, plus a children's menu. Bar area was good too. The only slight disappointment was the pool, closed initially then a bit cold for me after a day skiing, so only went once.

Stayed for 5 days 4 nights. Clean and comfortable. The hotel had its own ski rental area. A longer walk to the slopes but still on the main village level. This is pretty random but the coffee from the breakfast was the best I've had in the past few years.

Fantastically situated hotel at the top of an Alp with amazing views as long as you remember to ask for one. Not sure why anybody visiting in the summer would want s room with a view over the car park and municipal gritting department but we were moved when we requested an upgrade to a much better room
