Clean and beautiful property. Beautiful grounds. Amazing staff all around. Food is not over the top but very good Mauritian classics.

This hotel is lovely, a little tired on the decoration, but over all lovely. The staff just cant do enough for you, and as its a small hotel ihe staff really get to know you and becomes a very personal service. There isnt a beach in the hotel, but access to the sea via steps off a pontoon. Beautiful setting though, and yiu have the pool option from your sun longer too. Just a 5 minute walk is the public beach where there are water sports. The hotel dies have a gym, but very small and tired looking. Mainly cardio machines. The rooms are big and spacious and cleaned everyday. If you want to go out and eat, then there are a few places in walking distance, but to reach Grand Baie you can walk, but mostly its on the road and no pavements. However the bus stop is across from the hotel, and onky takes a few minutes to get there. Only 21 rupess each. The food in the hotel we could not fault, it was absolutely delicious.

the bed was comfortable; the pillows were not. the shower had plenty of hot water. Josh the waiter at breakfast was friendly. The laundry came back same day every time. The sea is right there and the public beach is less than 100m. There are plenty of little restaurants and a few bars in the village, which is still very sweet.

The breakfast was very disappointing. It was a buffet from a (bad) motorway service station in the 1970s: congealed eggs, greasy bacon, hard white toast etc. There was a choice of one fruit or maybe two every morning - I went to the market and saw quite how much choice there really is, so what was offered was pathetic. The noise (or the attitude to noise) was a problem. The restaurant staff turned the music on every morning at 0700, just loud enough to penetrate my "soundproof" windows. Every day. Then the cleaning ladies had a loud chat on their phones outside my door at the rear which was *not* soundproofed - and didn't even go elsewhere when I told her it was early and people were sleeping. The smoking area is between the restaurant and the sea so the sea breeze always carries the cigarette smoke into the tables. Not great. And the place just looks a bit tatty. It's a $50/night hotel. Not $150/night.

Room and location of the hotel is very fine, including the view to the beach. The food service unfortunately did not meet my expectations, including the three meals. Not enough variety in food.

Not much choice in food in the restaurant. The buffet and a la carte has not much options of food.

This has probably been a nice hotel 20 years ago. Now the rooms and common areas are rather worn down and nothing has been maintained for years. Nice area close to the water with good sunchairs is the upside. Food is pretty bad, don’t take half board!

Our ground floor sea-view unit boasted incredible sunsets and a tropical paradise beach setting simulation with beautiful palm trees and a reasonably sized swimming pool. There is a path to a small enclosed swimming beach, which is almost private that has no shade at all. It doesn’t seem to be regularly used by guests. The staff were interactive, engaging, very pleasant and helpful. Our unit was very clean and was equipped with the usual basic requirements.

No swimming beach. As much as the views allude to having direct access to a swimming beach - there is none. We had to leave the premises and walk approximately 200meters to get to the public beach. Extremely noisy rooftop bar that played music way past 10pm - which is apparently the agreed cut-off time. This was very annoying and went on from Friday through to Sunday during our stay. The breakfast buffet selection was mostly the same for the whole week with the dinner buffet limited and very traditional - lots of stews with similar tasting ingredients. There were no real seafood spoils. Something one would expect when experiencing an island holiday. Sporting amenities had to take place at the public beach next door. Only diving was available on the premises. There was construction taking place next door - a new building - not sure what the plan is.
