Mclane Boutique Hotel

Очень понравилось расположение, прям выходишь и сразу в центре старого города. Также персонал был очень классный, администраторша утром полностью рассказала и показала по карте что посмотреть и что покушать и что есть в городе.

Сама комната оказалась не очень удобной, мало место было для меня. И не понравился душ и то что не было в номере мыло для рук.

I think parking is quite hard to get. But luckily we managed to get parking space infront of the hotel

The room was cozy and comfortable. We had booked the larger room, which had windows facing the main street. Although you dont get to open the windows as there is nothing much to see outside other than the houses on the opposite side of the street. So practically, you are in a room of four walls. If you want to spend time in George Town without really worrying about having a room with balcony and nice view, then this one is good enough. Eline at reception in particular was super helpful. She greeted us with a smile as we arrived, gave us a full view of George Town, everything to see, gave us maps. pointed out locations on map and so on. Made it super easy to check-in and then experience Penang.

Absolutely pathetic breakfast experience. Mclane has outsourced breakfast contract to another vendor and no one has control over what they are doing to guests. So basically, you'll get only 4 options in breakfast, out of which you'll have to choose one. So practically, your breakfast will be One Bread Omelette, Less than half cup of Cornflakes and a coffee. When I asked the elderly gentleman managing the breakfast that its not written anywhere that one has to choose "only one" option and can't have more, his response to me was "This one option is good enough for Malaysian people". The remark felt so racist and when I questioned him whether this properly is meant only for Malaysian people then he responded by saying that "Talk to reception". Very bad experience. Further, there is only one induction and couple of untrained boys who are making breakfast. So for a family of 3, we had to wait 30 mins (minimum) just to get a Bread Omelette each. They'll put in corn flakes in the cup as if they have to save every cornflake and if you ask to put more, they'll make a face that'll make you feel guilty that you asked for more. Its really high time, Mclane either removes breakfast altogether from the bookings or upgrade it massively. You can't have a bad start of the day every day. And we had to see that for 4 days in a row. Also, there is no lift in the hotel, so you'll have to carry all your luggage by yourself to 1st or 2nd floor, depending upon where your room is. No help is available to carry luggage.

Locatie was goed. Prijs-kwaliteit heel goed.

Tip = Geen haardroger. Niet heel veel keuze bij ontbijt, 4 opties. Er ligt een moskee vlakbij, ‘‘s nachts ook lawaai hiervan.

Clean and functional room in an excellent location for exploring . Elyn at the front desk was wonderful, helped provide local knowledge for exploring the city and assistance for transportation
