Grand Targhee Resort

Lots of fun things to do for kids The food was good at the restaurants. We had hoped to spend more time in the Grand Teton but this was not the right location for that, however it did have beautiful views. We did upgrade our room and the larger rooms that sleep 10 are outdated with icky carpet, I would recommend staying in the newer accommodations.

Typical old fashioned ski lodge- not really modern or fancy. We weren’t expecting much but were disappointed with the cleanliness of the floors - had to use a pool towel to mop ourselves and the towel was filthy. Air conditioner was too loud to sleep but there wasn’t enough air flow from open windows to stay cool. The pool area was enjoyable. Fitness center is a little rough. The actual resort area is nice and quiet. Enjoyed hiking to the top.

Rooms are very dated and need renovation. There should be adult hours for hot tub. As in, no children after 6pm in hot tub. Overall the resort is clean. Restaurant food is good but hours should be expanded past 7pm. The hiking and biking trails are fantastic! The scenery is beautiful!!!

To start with, the microwave, the coffee maker and the TV remote did not work. The remote was rattling with something loose inside. The top bunk would only be usable to someone to young to climb a ladder, as it was too close to the ceiling. Most of the stairs to the loft creaked so loud it woke everyone anytime it was used. The back deck looked unsafe, it was about 2 inches lower on the outer edge than at the building. There was construction all around the resort with heavy machines that ran all night. We couldn't close the windows for lack ventilation, and we couldn't sleep because of all the noise. We left the following morning, 2 days early, leaving over $400 on the table. At that point we just wanted sleep and didn't care.

Nice property. It does take over an hour to get to Grand Tetons. There really isn’t much to do close by. Front desk stated that there would be house keeping everyday, but that just means them dropping off towels, beds were never made. We found stains on our duvet. Our area was noisy from them doing some work of setting up tents, we had to park it a different parking lot as there were setting stuff up for a festival in the parking lot closest to our rooms

Such a beautiful place to stay. Amazing resort with breathtaking trails and views.

Be sure to check the map! This property may technically be only 13 miles from Grand Teton NP, but that is by foot or as the crow flies. By car it is more than an hour to Jackson WY and more than 90 minutes to Jenny Lake.
